Cleanburn......IMHO Best on the market. The first one we had for 19 years with only minor repairs halfway thru (burner rebuild). Our second one (250k btu) is 6 years old and we have 5900 hrs on the meter and has only had a yearly cleaning in combustion chamber, never any issues, same nozzle. Clean stack and will burn everything from crankcase oil, hyd oil, trans oil, gear lube, vegetable oil, diesel and rancid gas.Anyone have advice on good - VS not so great waste oil burner? Building a shop this year and might be good to consider a waste oil burner.
We heat 6000 sq ft with 23’ ceilings and it is toasty warm.
Our model requires a dedicated air compressor 24/7 when in the heating system but some have built-in air supply.
We found it’s best to do our own cleaning and service as the local oil heating specialists don’t know how these things run, most issues is from oil that is donated that has water, antifreeze, brake fluid or other foreign non burn able sludge. We try to pump out the bottom of all oil we don’t generate to inspect the water content but most oil burned here is clean 90% hyd oil from our workshop.
