Hey Crawl ! Welcome to TBN I own a 1959 M-F 50 with a Continental gasoline engine I've been using nothing but Interstate Batteries, Farm/Agriculture & I'm on my 3rd set after 22 years & this is just a suggestion ! So I've been averaging 7 years of service out of each battery with out any charging or jumps.Hope You find what brand suits your needs.

Hey Crawl ! Have You had a chance to look around at anything else in the battery world ? My newer M-F 1526 (2018) has a Delkor battery in it & it seems to be holding up very well , Also I use to operate power jacks & lifts at work ( Crown ) in temps -20 degrees yes -20 & they used Deka batteries in them & I see that your down in Fla. so I guess that is a different temp. extreme. But the Deka batteries held up very well in those temps & didn't require daily charging. Anyhow when I need to replace the battery on the M-F 1526 I'm going to replace it with Delkor if I get the service life that I should out of it, Just another 2 choices IMHO , Have fun & be safe doing it.

can do... As with most information on the internet, there are mixed reviews on everything. From what I found, the "general" consensus seems to be between Deka (East Penn) and Interstate (Brookfield - Exide) as the best choice. Delkor Batteries looks to be an Australian Company. I couldn't find them in the U.S. Living in Florida high temperature operation is more of an issue for battery life than CCA. Thanks again for your input and have a blessed day!
FYI: I found the following articles...

Hey Crawl ! Those are not actually bad choices ,The Delkor batteries are out of S.Korea & are owned by Johnson corp. & they claim to be the largest battery manufacture in the world in automotive . Thanks for the links (y)! & I'll have to check a few of them out.

Two years ago I put an Odyssey battery in my 2009 M6040. 1150 CCA. And I keep it on a battery tender in the winter. It's tough enough, in the winter, putting my hinney on a frozen vinyl seat. And then, to have a dead battery - NO WAY.

Have your significant other make you a seat cover from an old bath towel. Better than numb butt.

I would sure hope not - can do. I have a foam "hot pad" that I put on my vinyl seat. At least, the buns stay warm. As I age and mellow - I find less and less reasons to do a project outside when it's REALLY cold. Patience is a wonderful virtue.

I DO have the cold wx clothing - Eddie Bauer & North Face, head to toe. But when used, I look like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. Comfort is great, mobility - limited.

The highest CCA , vibration resistant battery that will fit in the battery box. Don't undercharge . Don't over charge . Don't vibrate. Don't overheat .

I hear ya oosik! But from the last job I retired from I was working with frozen food at temps on average of -20! Yes -20 degrees ,So cold to me is a state of mind or as the song goes I'm, Comfortably Numb & that just leads to more lyrics, Lord knows when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head around, But I digress! But I think more of the movie A Christmas Story & I'm picturing You as little Ralph :):ROFLMAO:! with all that garb on & I know You were just having fun .So have fun & be safe doing it, & it has been quite hot here the last few days & I sure wish is was .
