Deck belt coming off problem fixed on Cub Cadet LT1045.

I have a Cub Cadet LT1045 Riding mower with a deck belt coming off all the time problem.
It is not convenient if the deck belt came off while mowing.
The simple way to fix was Installed a belt guard next to the main idler. No more problem.
If you have deck belt off problems, consider installing the simple belt guard...

I have Cadet 1046LT only once belt pop off do to my lack keeping debris build up.

I would be looking at WHY it was coming off. Bad pulley? Bad Idler? Bad Tensioner? Bad alignment?

I was popping belts quite often on the X300 deck until I found out a portion of what held an idler was bent and the bushing was bad throwing that whole section of the belt path out of alignment. I'm on the same belt now in about the third year.

Your 'fix' might work or it might cause bigger problems later.

Since the guard bolt is installed, never come off the belt again.
No cost as long as you weld yourself. worth to try
