i use my grapple almost as often as just a bucket. mine is not well built and has bent in a few places over the years but it still works fine. who cares if it gets sloppy or leaks a little if it still opens and closes and can carry things you can use it. I am always a fan of cheap and fixing something over full price and still having to fix it eventually. if you have a welder or can rent one, the repair should be easy, just reinforce the joint with some angle and it will probably last. my guess is the break happened when someone was doing something ridiculous with it,like trying to pull a huge rock while in reverse or something of that order

I’d rather pay for something built to last. My second grapple was a quality one and it’s survived 2 years of way harder use than my first one with zero damage.

Look at the pic of where it tore loose. "almost sheet metal" looking.

Not that I can talk...Did a bad thing with my Grapple yesterday.
I used the lid to back drag some material cleaning around a support post in the horse barn while doing this years major clean.
Built enough pressure to blow the 3000psi rated line and almost took out my wife's eye doing it....- because she was standing semi close to the post
Luckily she must have been just far enough away so that the hydraulic oil was not injected.
Thank God.
The grapple itself has no damage of any kind. I do agree if the OP buys the grapple and say only uses it for things like clamping down on brush he should be OK once it is repaired.

Can someone look at the photos and tell me if this is the skid steer quick connects. I honestly thought my Ford 4630 had those but it’s a little different than what’s on this grappler. Will upload a photo of the 4630 connects in a minute.

OK, you mean skid steer quick attach.

Yours looks like a home made QA.

Here is the SSQA dimensions that will be on the grapple:

Also yours appears to have a round bar at the top.

This is the side view of the top of the SSQA:
