What I get from Fuddy's remark,the preacher,****** and the song is that people can be and are fenced in by their own state of mind. In the case of real fences,people can be shown ways to escape,mental fences I'm not so sure there is a way out. Since I last posted,I read on a forum much like this one except the subjects are about home repair. A man had no running water due to a break in a Polyethylene water line and plumbers said there were no parts avaliable to repair it so total repacement for close to $10k is the only option. The conversation had been going on for 3 days and several links to parts for repair had been posted. Nothing suggested was available according to op but he continued begging for help. After 3 days op mentioned he live's in Ca. Any where besides Ca,a 60 year old widow with a 8th grade education or newly wed teen couple would have improvised or had parts overnighted instead of waiting for others to think for them. If that isn't being imprisioned by invisiable fences I'm a monkey's uncle with spotted ears.

I'm also pretty certain that the preacher was talking about FORCIBLY placing gays into a fenced camp where people could not escape.

As far as the song, it all comes down to blind faith in someone who has a leadership position.

Your mental fence only alowed you to seen 2 lines out of the 16 I wrote then spend 8 lines attempting to skew the context. 14 lines were dedicated to how one can fall victim to their own mindset. Had I wanted to put poisoned minds in context to ****** and the preacher,I'm quit capiable of saying ****** and the preacher poisoned minds of those who assisted them with evil deeds,NOT the victims. That doesn't make you a bad person but you really should read and respond with an open mind if you actually desire understanding what other's say.

I misconstrued your first sentence which is why I commented only on that portion alone. I thought you were refering to the people put into camps, not the people putting the people in camps. My apologies.

As far as the guy who had the plumbing issue, although it's not in the Bible, I tend to favor the expression "God helps those who help themselves".

When you think about it, what is the difference between a radial suicide bomber who would kill themselves intentionally to take other lives for a "cause" vs the person who gives their whole life and money to a "professional" sports team, that in reality does nothing for spectator lives other than to feel good about themselves becuase they follow the "team"?

The way I see your thought process is that people spend money on sports because they have fenced themselves and are looking for an "escape" to make themselves feel better about themselves, which I would agree with.

Don't get me wrong, I love watching my pro football team and my college alma mater, when they're on TV, but at the end of they day, be it they win or loose, that does not determine my happiness at the end of the day as a person, and I'd rather give my tithes to the church I'm attending vs my alma mater or a pro sports team.

Mo, those are some good teams to follow. I quit following my college Alma Matter because, well, let’s just say their views on thinks became very “twisted”. My High School alma matter changed their name from “Indians” to something “less offensive”, so I hung up my coaching career. Now I gotta turn my back on the NFL, for same reasons. At least my Eagles won a Super Bowl and beat the legend, Tom Brady, before the NFL lost its mind and became a well, you know what
Nick Foles will forever live in my family’s heart.

I am immersing myself in my kids college sports now, but one of their teams has become, well, you know…..kinda strange.

So I guess there’s not much left ‘cept Rodeo, tractor pulls and NASCAR, nome of which I have much interest.

I'm not familiar with the cultural short hand you are using with the term "California kool-aid"
