With pullers sometimes you can grab and pluck with the FEL. Most times grab low and push forward will uproot with more force.

Been my observation that tree pulling is much easier in the early spring with less ground disturbance. Roots just slip out of the ground easier.

A piranha toothbar is great and faster than a grapple taking out the brush and small trees. Making piles. The V-shape teeth grab the stems and pulls up the small trees or brush by the roots. Most impressive clearing tool. Con is it can’t carry brush very well.
The con is not that big as I already have a brush grapple. I’m visualizing making piles then moving them with the grapple.

I have an MTL and it cost about $1000. There are two issues. First is on smaller tress, say less than about 2 1/2" inches it is easy to shear/snap the tree. Second is seeing what you are doing. I am getting a backup camera to address that.

I have plenty of FEL capacity (2700 lbs) so that does not limit me.

I use a Piranha Bar on the FEL for small stuff and it does a decent job. I think a Ratchet Rake would be better but I am too lazy to put it on an off when I need it so went with the PB.

What machine do you have it on? Is visibility a problem with other implements also - bucket, etc?

I have a mtl on my L3901, most successful when ground is very dry with lots of counterweight on the 3pt. I have lots of smaller sweet gum trees and between 2 and 4 inches in diameter seems to be ideal, smaller and the pressure smashes the trunk. Larger and I cannot pull the tree out even rocking back and forth. If the ground is wet then i don't have the traction to rock back and forth even with R1 tires and 4wd.

I've had mine for 4 years. Pulls tree's up to 6" easy and 8" with a little extra work. I pull ceanothus bushes about 3" around and 30 feet tall with ease. I use the " jaws of death" on the 3 point and a grapple on the the fel. Makes for quick easy work!

I have a quick hitch to 3 point adaptor so I can run all my fel implements on the 3 point as well. I got it from Titan. I looked but I could not find a pic. Ill look some more.

I used mine the same way.
Puller on the back, grapple on the front
Cleared out several acres of 2-5” gum tree saplings. Worked great.
