So your idea of trying to tell us things were bad in 1940 is showing a bunch of smokestacks?

How about today, where 100’s of thousands of people die each year from Phentanyl and opioid overdoses?

Is that ”better” than 1940?

Is it better now with rampant murder of our fellow citizens now prevalent in all our cities? Is it better we have millions of undocumented, unknown, possibly infected people crossing our borders with the assistance of our own government?

Is it better now that we invade countries to nation build, then abandon them, leaving their people to be enslaved, tortured or slaughtered?

Is it better we are 30 trillion in debt with no possibility to pay it back?

At least those smokestacks had something being produced-an honest days work, employment, a product. Now much of the country paid to sit at home.

You've been asking to go back to unregulated industry to compete with the Chinese for a few months now. Just wanted to remind you of a little history of what that would bring back to the U.S. if we did.

Ummmm, no I haven’t been asking to go back to the pictures you posted. I have been asking for regulations to be reasonable, corporate taxes to be lowered and a level playing field where we can reasonably compete.
NOT fires on rivers and skies full of sulfur clouds.

Nice try though. Geeze Moss, try some decaf.

Note “estimated”
Science talk for “guess”
I tend to believe things I can see for myself VS taking someone's word for it (Thomas had it right). My parents were pretty good at explaining science and balancing that with their faith-based belief system. Our local Catholic high school teaches evolution. They don't have a problem balancing science with their belief system either. The Pope accepted evolution in the 50's. The current Pope says evolution and the big bang theory are real.

Many people have no problem accepting that the world is really old and balancing that with their belief system.

As a degreed climatologist, I could really get down in the weeds on this and explain why it's all B.S.

But let's take a simpler approach. How long has Earth been here? Some say millions of years, which I personally do not believe. Others say tens of thousands of years. Nobody knows for certain.
No....try Billions of years.

How Old Is Earth?

Neither do I!
I just don’t like the trend of the last 100 years where ”scientists” (take Bill Nye the “science guy” who isn’t even a scientist for example) get cozy with politics and ruin the validity of science.
We have seen that trend become almost an epidemic problem in this country.
When people start talking weather and the way that can be used to scare people into changing their political beliefs, I become doubtful.

I've asked these questions before, but never really got an answer from anyone.

What is the ideal temperature of earth to sustain human life as compared to the global temperature today? If you had control of the global thermostat, would you lower it or raise it? What kills more humans, cold or heat?

Humans have adapted to the current global temperature quite well so far it seems and I suspect they will continue to adapt as it changes. I haven't been convinced one way or the other whether CO2 is a lagging or leading indicator of global temperature.

I've seen many theories on solar system cycles that seem to get zero attention from climate experts. If it were found that these theories could explain climate changes, a lot of experts would be out of a job because we can't control solar system cycles like we can sheeple.

Do you think that the pollution in those pictures has gone away? The pollution and the thousands of jobs that were created by the pollution has simply been sent to China. They now make the products sell them back to us and use cheap/ slave wage workers to produce the products. Since the government of China controls the money, it is spent to promote a style of government that does not promote individual rights and freedoms.

So lets recap this. America losses jobs, money, independence, the ability to control its own goods, think about WWII when the country was able to produce the goods needed to win the war, and the regulation of the pollution producers.

China gains jobs, control of a big piece of our ability to build things from steel/iron(our economy), profits, and they pollute all they want.

Oh yea we came out way ahead on that deal.

Well, you can always warm up, but you can't always cool down. I pick cold over hot.

One of the main concerns with warming temps is rising sea levels. If that happens, much of the population is in low-lying coastal areas, and will have to move. Also, if that happens, brackish water creeps into low-lying areas that are currently used for food crops, making the land useless for those crops.

That doesn't affect people directly that live higher up from sea level, but will effect hundreds of millions of people at or near sea level around the world.

CFCs are man made, did not occur in nature until we got here.
Sure they did. Just not until science discovered them in the exact combinations and found them, at that time, to be beneficial to humans then made more of it. I wonder if you've given up your city water and swimming pool. 😎 It's the chlorine in that compound which was blamed for destroying the Ozone Layer back in the 80's.

Every time some PhD weatherman breaks a sweat (or maybe breaks wind), we get all this Demagoguery on changing temperatures. Before it was just weather getting colder then they changed it to hotter. Now it's called "climate change" and includes lower AND higher temperatures so it covers their position or maybe their @ss. Then you get some of the politicians trying to make a buck on it by selling credits. It's just another scam to control the masses. THEY want everyone to be dependent on a few in power.

As I recall, it has also been shown that all the planets in our solar system change temperatures. They go up and down and that was considered a natural phenomenon. That science fact was hushed up in a hurry. I guess it won't be long before the U.S. is blamed for that too. We'll have to buy more credits or pay more tax. 😏
