Found a great gas can spout!!

I simply pull the spring out of the factory spouts. Then I can close or open them as I please without having to force them against something.
I have also used some metal valve stems without the core as vents in a few of my cans.

Ha! You probably committed a few felonies along the way.

I am fortunate, still have my old spouts from many years ago.

Probably not my last one either. But I doubt that Im public enemy No. 1

I have a perfectly good 5 gallon yellow diesel fuel jug. Lost spout for it. Different spouts have different threads. Any way of telling which spout fits?

I’m a big fan of the No Spill cans, own about 5 of them and they have never caused me any trouble. I have recommended them to several people and most think they cost to much but after they use them they tell me they love them and should have bought one years ago.

I have some of those. The 1 and 2.5 gallons work well for filling up small equipment but the 5 gallon is too slow for my liking.

I have four - five gallon WWll - real Jerry cans. They each have the flexible metal spout. They have the leather "washer" on the end that, when inserted in the can, is expanded with a side lever. I've had them since '65 and with appropriate care for the leather washer - all still function great.

However - one of these days I'm going to have to do something about the "lifting them up" business. I think I might just put a multi-pulley system hanging down from the rafters. I just can't see giving up these old cans.

BTW - I've seen those angled nozzles somewhere before. A good alternate to some sleazy type of corrugated plastic crap nozzle.

Wavian NATO Jerry cans, worth every penny you pay for them. Last damn near forever.

I watch the old WWll documentaries on TV. If you look real close on some of the old footage - you will see the Germans were using Wavian Jerry cans back then.

That's the brand I would buy if I didn't already have my four USA Jerry cans.
