Then how about you share with me and others here your ingenious opinion about these tractor brands and dealers.Yes I have read your posts and find them disingenuous at best.

Kenmac would you prefer to purchase a tractor from a dealer who sold on a farm versus one that sold in the city if they offered the ability to test it out bush hogging, plow the field, etc, before you buy it?Let me know what dealer will let you take a tractor home, test it out bush hogging, plow the field, etc, before you buy it . Perhaps they're out there, but I haven't seen one willing to allow someone to do that yet.
You aren't going to be able to demo a tractor on the dealer lot the same as you would at the farm
But nothing sells faster than a good used tractor priced at just under the cost of a new one. In fact we resold our 1 year old L for what we paid for it, no sales taxes in or outIf anyone's getting worked up, it's you. The emotions are yours, not mine.
If anything, today's consumer is more educated by far than any buyer 20 years ago. AlGore was still putting the finishing touches on the internet 20 years ago. Today, we can see ratings, reviews, prices and related costs across a wide range of industries and economies. More information *by far* than you could hope to have 20 years ago.
Folks today can easily look up pricing on all manner of equipment, attachments, and yes, even tractors. More options today, the market is more competitive today because it has to be. More buyers are fully willing to vote with their wallets and say "NOPE" to someone with a stupid price stuck in their head.
The market only supports high used prices if people are willing to pay them. My point. Is that more buyers are saying "oh, h*ll no". And walking away with their wallets.
When did you sell it?But nothing sells faster than a good used tractor priced at just under the cost of a new one. In fact we resold our 1 year old L for what we paid for it, no sales taxes in or out
''A dealer who sold on a farm'' ?Kenmac would you prefer to purchase a tractor from a dealer who sold on a farm versus one that sold in the city if they offered the ability to test it out bush hogging, plow the field, etc, before you buy it?
What if there was a dealer that sold on a farm and they let you put hours on a tractor to test it out?''A dealer who sold on a farm'' ?
are there any dealers that sell on a farm ?
I don't know any dealers (not in my area) that are going to let you put hours on a tractor just to see if you going to buy it.
I do not have any experiences of owning any other machine but the few I have. I first bought a Kubota l series. Dealer was a great. Machine came nice and shiney and a full tank of fuel. I had problems with the 3 point bouncing about and took it in for service. They could not fix it so they took it back. I then bought a Kioti, dealer was great and been selling tractors since 1938. The service department I don't know too much about cause my machine has never been there .Then how about you share with me and others here your ingenious opinion about these tractor brands and dealers.

It's a hypothetical question.where in Al. is said dealer ?
