Deer on the move now night and day...it's lust season.
With me it was moose, I had a long way to go so was travelling a bit too fast one moonlit autumn night. The first cracked my grill; the second came up out of the ditch and just folded my mirror in on the way by.I hit 2 seperate deer one morning on the same trip to work about 30 mins apart. The second one actually hit me, right in the driver's door.
I know the the price of ammo is sky high but I would think its still cheaper than motorcycles. (humor)I’ve killed 5 deer with motorcycles
You are one lucky dude...friend of mine spent several days in ICU and a week in the hospital.I’ve killed 5 deer with motorcycles
Down here we call them "bull-bars". There's an entire industry here that makes them for all sizes/makes of vehicles and, yes, I've often considered getting one for the ute.Suicidal Texas Doe got me about two years ago on I-10 about 120 miles west of San Antonio. Mine was at night & she jumped in from the median while I was watching the shoulder. Had to be towed back to San Antonio & $10K and two months later got my truck back with visions of Ranch-hand bumpers dancing in my head. When the airbags went off, it smelled like I was in a duck blind, & luckily, the takata initiators weren't the ones with shrapnel -- even though GM keeps sending me notices to replace the original equipment. My wife laughs when I tell her I got an STD in Texas & tells me I'm lucky that she's understanding or it would have cost me a whole hell of a lot more than $10K.
