Treating diesel in north Texas winters

I can treat #2 for 4.8 cents per gallon. Maintains the Cetane number desired. Eliminates the gel problem.

Either method used is preferred over gelled fuel. :)
Too bad my double dosing of PS and what ever the fuel supplier should have been treating it with by late Nov. didn't keep it from gelling at only -4F. I can't wait for the local stations to start blending with #1 (Jan?) to have fuel on hand that can be used in Jan.

That's pretty pretty late in the year...
Vermont resellers start in October

I don't use kerosene in my diesel fuel. Believe that kerosene
burns hotter than diesel! I just use the white bottle to
treat my fuel year round so never have to worry about
fuel jelling as my truck don't move for months and when
I need it the temp just might be too cold for untreated fuel
so I am always ready to go

I don't know when Wisconsin dealers start treating their
fuel but I never had any problems with gelling when I
lived there. I have less than 150,000 miles on my 03
Dodge 2500 and so far no problems with fuel

My opinion is treating fuel alone won’t stop gelling. I’ve asked at gas stations about when they get fuel that has been blended, they have no idea. Also keep in mind biodiesel will gel easier.

I can only speak of my territorial experiences. In -25F temps I've not had #2 diesel fuel gel that was treated with Power Service White Bottle.

I would say at -25 #2 with power serve if it had been shut off for any length of time you got very lucky.
I've had #2 shut me down at minus teens that was heavy dosed with power serve.
That was fuel from an exposed tank into a tractor with an exposed tank and it did not have side curtains or a radiator blanket on it that time.

Diesel fuel from a filling station is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get.

From now on, I will test fuels and maybe will buy from a supplier so I know what I have. When late Nov, fuel gels at -4F even after double dosing with PS, I don't trust what I'm buying for cold Jan, weather.

Our diesel car was out side always and at -30+ never
had any problem starting our car and that was in
Wisconsin fuel was treated at the pumps great!
and here in Texas my 03 5.9L diesel started right up
using the white bottle power serve. Like I said before
I use the white bottle of juice all year long so I have
no worries

OP...the coldest average in TX that I found was 23F. If you stay away from B-diesel, just the regular treatment should be plenty.

The panhandle can get in negative teens quite easily, it usually doesn't stay for long.
There used to be a joke that the only thing keeping the Dakota winters out of North Texas was a couple of barbed wire fences.
But, yes the power serve white bottle should serve quite well in Texas.
