Pacific North West - Excessive heat warning issued

I just got a fema alert predicting up to 20 inches of snow over next 24 hours, and temps dropping over next 5 to 7 days. Supposed to get down to -10°F, with possible wind chills -25°.

well see….these things are hit and miss.

That is on the warm side of the state. The predictions for here have moderated a little with Monday's high being 6 and the low -8, but only a little snow.

Warm side in the winter, but cool side in the summer

Ya, don't tell anybody, but the summers on the wet side are fantastic.

8" of heavy, wet snow this morning, with more falling. I just saw a fair sized maple tree fall from the office window. Anticipating power loss, the wood stove is stoked and the hearth is warm. If the temperature drops as predicted, the snow will freeze into concrete.

Measured 24” on ground. received 2” more overnight. Were heading out to hook up the sleigh and go for a ride.
