My Mom had a small wooden plaque with that on it in our kitchen all the time I was growing up. Wonder what happened to it. Probably got converted to what it came from.

My mother had one in her kitchen also! My daughter wanted it after my parents passed in 2019.

Right, but I was reminded of sayings that could have been misunderstood due to regional dialects or the "telephone game" syndrome. Unlikely someone would get from "box of rocks" to "bag of hammers" though almost anything is possible with enough mind altering substance(s)...
