Morning all, grey and staying at 36 all day.
Moved some more wood to the house rack.
BIL and wife here yesterday and my wife cooked us a nice dinner.

Today, easy day, son off to shopping with his lay friend.

Tomorrow, going into Manhattan for tree, high tea and dinner. Hopefully it won't rain too much.

Paul- great pics of the grandson with the plane.

PJ - welcome back.

Buppies - sounds like a good time.

Stay well and be safe.

My old iPhone 7+ is glitching and charging and discharging erratically, I’m afraid it’s going to crash so I ordered a pair of iPhone 12’s to replace them. I hope they’ll last 4.5 years like these have.

You folks have a good day.
Randy, in the spirit of brotherhood camaraderie, you should take that bad iPhone out and flail it to death.

TxDon, I have plenty of oak Wilt for you to try making milk out of. Hey if it works, we can be millionaires.

Okay team, I need your help! My father-in-law is looking to possibly buy a electric pole saw and I know many of you guys have different versions of electric pole saws and chainsaws. I'd like your honest assessment of what you bought and if you like it, and if you would buy it again.

Welcome back PJS!

I recently bought a Ryobi electric pole saw. I haven't used it a lot but it works well. I haven't used it with the harness so it is a bit heavy at full length. Just watch where the branches fall. Saves having to get the ladder out. Chainsaws and ladders don't mix. My wife loves the Ryobi chainsaw we have. She calls it hers.

When you say electric are you including battery or just a corded 110/120v

Kyle, I have a HF 40 volts pole saw works good. But if breaks no parts available.
This summer I got Ryobi expand-it 40 volt weed trimmer. Bought the pole saw attachment. It works very well. I like to use in its shortest length to trim fallen tree branches. I also have a gas power head for the expand-it attachment. It also work well. But the 40 volt does not have a pull cord to start it. Lowes has a Kobalt system that is similar.

Cordless like the EGO, Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Ryobi etc....
Does your FIL have any batteries of the tools you mentioned. When you buy a new tool and no battery is needed the price is substantially less.

I've got a Husqvarna battery operated chainsaw that I like very much. It is the first battery operated anything I have bought and used. I think it was about $675.ooCDN but I am not sure now.
