I don't get it. If there is trash service in the rural areas, why dump trash on other people's property?
You got me. But it was common out in the area I lived in. Also really common down by my work in the city.

City has an automatic fee figured in with your bill and will do collection of big items, all you gotta do is call them.

Out in the county where I lived, there were 4 different options for trash pickup. All you had to do was call one of them and set it up. Was around $80 a 1/4

Large ticket items could be hauled to one of three landfills and a transfer station. Transfer Station was the most expensive.

Hauled an old couch and love seat to one of the landfills. Lady running the scales ended up taking them for one of her kids that was moving out. So there wasn't a charge.

Charge wouldn't have been much though. It was maybe $.25 a pound

I’ve posted about this before. Someday I hope to catch someone doing this and bring the law down on them, along with the wrath of God, the wrath of Kahn, and the wrath of the Kracken. I’ve seen the following dumped in the ditches near where I live, washer and dryer, tires, mattress and box springs, kitchen floor tile, couch, chairs, tv’s, yard waste and other miscellaneous debris.
Dumping animals is the worst though.

Someone once left an old 70s era trailer off the road at the intersection by our place. Sat there for several weeks until county hauled it. I sure hope they were able to find registered owner of that nightmare, but never heard of outcome.

they left plates on it, shouldnt have been too hard, but i doubt they even bothered looking.

Local restaurant was adding an extension and the dumpster was always emptied Friday PM.
However come Monday it was usually 1/2 full from locals to lazy to go to the city dump.
Guess it was just too inviting and handy..
Well, my wife is friends with the manager at the little gas/mart down the road maybe 2 miles . . . she lets the wife use the dumpster for what little garbage that we do not burn. (y)

We had the same problem with the school dumpsters being used by the public. Come to find out, it was the Catholic Priest down the road. Several cease and desist letters had to be sent to get it stopped.

Go to work this morning, and find three incredible disgusting mattresses straight outta Breaking Bad dumped at the bottom of our driveway. Either lazy methheads going out of their way to be lazy, or someone has a grudge?

Agh........people are disgusting.

If I told you how many dozens of bald tires I've gotten out of the ditch out front of the farm, you'd be amazed. Car parts too, including old engines and fast food bags, loaded with half eaten stuff and beverage cans and bottles but at least here. you get 10 cents a crack for them.

Little wonder why this country is going down the toilet. Just look at the ignorant population.

Every dog we have ever had was dumped off in our driveway. We live just close enough to an urban area (Toledo, Ohio, where people get a dog and then realize they cannot care for it so they drive out in the country and dump it. Let someone else deal with it.

I've even had a couple complete cars wind up abandoned in the ditch. People get crocked, run off the road and leave them in the ditch and I have to call LE and then pull them out and call a salvage center to come get them. Always beaters too.
