Our local 'dump' will not accept trash from any commercial enterprises, so you know what happens.
I once found 15 so old tires by my entrance (in a depression), that was back when there was a fee to dispose of them. That was later corrected by pre charging the disposal fee.

But there is still a lazy type of individual that simply dumps wherever he thinks he can't be seen.
Like locally there is an individual that does car repairs and dumps the old body parts anywhere he can't be seen.

Making it worst our local depot is only open on selected days.
Frustrates drivers have been known to then dump at the depot gate.

i remember a few years ago, i drove 40 min to town to dump my dump trailer, and gates were locked. a sign was up stating there closed for employee appreciation day. our dumps advertise there open 7 days a week. i always check online nowdays before i travel there just to make sure it doesnt happen again.

mind you, if they looked at their surveillance camera that day they would have seen my picture staring at the camera giving it the single finger salute....

They don't burn up clean. The nasty springs and polyester will still be there and look even worse.

Never having to do that, well, that's a good thought . . . I think if it did happen, I would get the track hoe fold the remains up and bury it in a fit of anger . . .

Someone once dumped a 10 wheeler full of debris behind my church. Pastor asked if I could help get rid of it.
I went scrounging through the debris and found a box with a shipping label on it. I went to that address and found a home under construction. It has just been graded down to clean dirt. I called the builder and told him where his trash had ended up. He called the grading contractor. Contractor called me. I tol him it's no problem.I won't report the felony dumping if it is cleaned up by 5:00 today. Done, but owner of the house fired the builder!

Illegal dumping of more than a pickup load is a felony in NC.

We pay just over $200pa just to drop our rubbish off, the night dumpers drop off truck and 4WD tyres that cost $20-35 each to be dumped which very expensive considering they sell them to recyclers.

In most counties dumping can be free to victims of illegal dumping. Call your local landfill and let them know what happened.

We have to pay at our "local" transfer station.
It's so much a bag with either flat rate for furniture or by the pound,
last time I went it was $0.15 per pound.
I'm fortunate that I have access to 2 different dumpsters to use.

This is certainly true. I'd be mad too, but you have to get it cleaned up fast or other meatheads will dump there.

Is this the way it goes in the rural areas? What else other than home invasion?
