Have you noticed any prices going DOWN?

Fuel, as others have noted. Not down to pre-2021 prices by any means but gas dropped 16 cents at one place since last Monday, and I’ve seen diesel below $5.00.

Also, be very careful that the manufacturer isnt giving you smaller quantities.
Saw where an innocent prduct like Cheerios cereal reduced their number of ounces down to cut their costs. It gives the impression of lower prices when its just lower quantity.

I did see diesel drop about .10 but thats like a slap in the face when its still $5.

I picked up a pneumatic brad nailer/stapler from harbor freight Sunday for $19. Regularly $29. 🙃

Tonight at a local grocery store:
Dozen eggs were $1.29.
Rice pilaf was $1.19 a box.
A corned beef brisket was $13.00.
Bag of carrots was $1.
Head of cabbage was $1.

Diesel & gas are up a few cents a gallon. But that's normal for around here. Summer and the "need for greed" is coming on. Otherwise - everything else remains about the same.

How do those prices compare to what they were before? Food prices vary quite a bit by region so it's hard to reference.
Here and there in some super markets... Buy get 1 free.
Shaws seems to be going more toward buy 2 get 2 free. Still half price, but you need to buy a lot more. Per unit price quite a bit higher than last year.

I haven't shopped there in years. They may have changed but you used to have to belong to their "Rewards" program to get the best prices. Funny thing though, I could go down the road to Hannaford and get the same prices without a gimmick.

Gas dropped from $3.99 to $3.89. Every little bit helps and it is a little bit.
Most things in the grocery is either going up or getting smaller to stay the same price.

Our gas was $4.30 on Friday, not it is $4.19 this morning. Still nothing to write home about, but it is a little cheaper, but a long ways to go before it is priced where I think it should be.
The news this morning was that Brent crude had dropped 24%. Don't hold your breath waiting for oil companies to lower their price as fast as they raised it.
