Have you noticed any prices going DOWN?

Meat at the butcher shop is not too terrible if you buy in bulk.
Don't expect beef to drop much. The drought last year made the stocker operations cull their herds radically, and things are not looking any better this year. Feedlots are being squeezed by high grain prices and high feeder prices. Processors want to get rich. Chicken prices will be up if bird flu wipes out a big part of the flock. Pigs might be your best bet for meat, though Smithfield is shipping a lot to China because disease killed off so much of their herd. Chronic Wasting Disease is a problem in venison, and now somebody got infected with Covid from dressing a deer.

We may all end up vegetarians.

I love having my own beef supply.

How do those prices compare to what they were before? Food prices vary quite a bit by region so it's hard to reference.

Shaws seems to be going more toward buy 2 get 2 free. Still half price, but you need to buy a lot more. Per unit price quite a bit higher than last year.
As I recall, it's about the same.

I have had an up tick lately in people that see my '93 Festiva, and say that it gets at least 30 MPG. "No, actually it gets 36 MPG." :) Maybe some of this will bring the Used PU Truck prices back down?

Simple answer, no. And until I see inflation drop, it really doesn’t matter to me if ho ho’s are on sale.

February saw the largest month over month increase yet, and that was before the “Putin Price Hike”.

I’m just picking up double time at work, so I can still be frivolous.

Yes tv prices have definitely been dropping, gasoline has dropped about 30 cents, bought eggs on sale last week for .50 cents a dozen

The common theme for these “resets” is a big surge upwards, then a fall back, but always to a number higher than from where it started.
Fertilizer is so high, farmers are going to have to raise their prices. You wont see that for a few months, IF fertilizer stays this high.

I haven't shopped there in years. They may have changed but you used to have to belong to their "Rewards" program to get the best prices. Funny thing though, I could go down the road to Hannaford and get the same prices without a gimmick.
They have some sort of loyalty program, but it only seems to affect some sale items, not all. Shaws is about the only choice I have other than a small independent market. I prefer Hannaford too, but their nearest store is an hour away.

How can they prove he got covid from dressing a deer. They cant even tell you if you have covid with any certainty, and no one has gotten cwd from eating venison.

Electronics in general. I remember buying a pocket calculator in the mid 70s for a bit over $100 (~$600 in today's dollars). Today one with equal capabilities goes for $5.

And yes it was costly for my parents at the time.

I have the same on and I bought it new. Amazing how cheap they got...

Fuel came down a tad here, just a tad (ORD), but nowhere near what it was a year ago.

I think mine was a Casio. Still have it somewhere. Still works, but some of the buttons are flakey.
Got this one specifically because the numbers are blue/green...much easier for me to see than red.

I had a nice HP11C, but accidentally dropped it into an open #4 double coil spring... dead center on the pan. It didn’t work very well after that but I was able to send it away and they replaced it. I had written a program to check the error of closure for surveys when I was laying out precommercial thinning blocks. This saved me going back and running it through their computer to make sure it was OK.

A coworker decided they needed it more than I did, and they were no longer offered. :(
