on mine its just an electromagnet unit that locks the foot peddle inplace. the unit is maybe 3" round and placed alongside the foot peddle linkage.

i found someone elses post about it and how to adjust. maybe yours is similar

thanks for the reply. Mine isn’t the magnet type unfortunately. It’s something inside the transmission case. Linkages are outside though.

My dk45se cruise control works on smooth going. I believe there is a bump switch in there that disconnects for safety on rough going

Mine works, but not well, only seems to hold speed when in low range, and won't hold full throttle. I did the adjustments in the service manual and everything seemed to be within spec so I'm not sure what to do next. I just don't think it's a well designed system. When you flip the lever you can see the linkage under the tractor and it only moves a tiny amount so the system must be very sensitive. Also, the linkage connects to a lever that goes into the transmission case so you can't see the end of the system. I think it's really only designed for road use, it didn't work well when I tried it while spraying a pasture. It doesn't like bumps and elevation changes. Service manual adjustments are attached, it shows the linkages and you can look under the tractor while moving the lever.

Mine works on a switch on dash, no lever. I use it all the time harrowing, spraying, roading. No issues. Holds great. Very weird.
