Kioti CK35HST cruise control problem

This is my first ever post so hopefully doing it right.
I’ve bought a 2014 CK35HST tractor with loader. Unfortunately the Yellow Speed Set lever (some call it cruise control) doesn’t seem to do anything.
I’ve checked the clearances mentioned in the manual and they seem ok.
Anybody got any ideas?

You are pushing it down to lock correct? As opposed to pulling it up to release… While holding it down take your foot off the pedal.

most cruse control units wont work if brake interlock is disengaged (the little lever that locks right and left brakes together).

Not sure I understand. How would m tractor know that little connecter is slid right or left. And wouldn't the CC be useful for plowing or cultivating and you might want the split brakes for steering or traction control. I have no experience with either.

I used to use my CC while driving down the road to my friends. Convenience more than need.

Yep I agree Buggs. There's no other way to use the pedals for steering unless the CC is engaged.

On my kioti DK45 a dash light comes on when i open the interconnect brake latch, and then the cc shuts off. Not sure your unit is the same. Its to prevent accidential use of one peddle braking while engaged in high speed roading of tractor while cruise is engaged.


heres a schematic on dk45. The brakes and the brake interlock switches both connect to cruise control module. Wire 4 is the one side brake switch, the interlock microswitch that signals when flip lever is open. A light on dash should also turn on.

Thanks everyone for their replies.
Mine just doesn’t work and I can’t figure out why.
The manual states get up to needed speed then to lift lever up to set speed. Nothing. Just stops when foot comes off pedal.
So tried the opposite ,starting with the lever up and pushing down at needed speed. Nothing. Just stops going forward when I take foot off pedal.
Brake interlock is on.
If someone could do a short video of the linkages as you operate your speed set I’d appreciate it.
Alternatively if someone has a manual that explains how the actual linkages work. I’d really appreciate that too.

on mine its just an electromagnet unit that locks the foot peddle inplace. the unit is maybe 3" round and placed alongside the foot peddle linkage.

i found someone elses post about it and how to adjust. maybe yours is similar

My dk45se cruise control works on smooth going. I believe there is a bump switch in there that disconnects for safety on rough going.
