Working from home, but I also need to load the all season tires in the bed of the Tacoma. The truck will be going in the shop tomorrow morning for the tire swapping and some routine maintenance

Since my back isn't so good, I'll take the lazy man's way out...put the pallet forks on the loader, roll the tires on the forks, then roll them in the bed
Morning
At 0510 it's 46F and calm, supposed to be cloudy but dry today

I got the tires swapped on my truck and my wife's Jeep the week, now they are sitting on the ground waiting for me to get some hoses out and clean them before putting them in the tractor bucket to move to the storage shed.
Mine are all mounted and have the TPMS sensors in them so it's just jack them up and swap, then the RAM and the Jeep will self recognize the new sensors and just start to reading them, not like her Equinox that I had to put in the learning mode and run around the car activating each one in the proper order.

59 going to 86 ...our local weatherman predicted anywhere from a dusting to 1"...of pollen. 😁

Helo, glad you are helping the unfortunate refugee lady. I wish the United Nations and NATO could be more effective.

Yep, Kyle, they grow up too fast...great photo of your daughter.

Transplanted some more Christmas trees yesterday, and filled in the holes where I dug them...finding that I'm hitting roots trying to dig some up, and don't want to damage the mother tree, so leaving those little ones...which puts me carrying them by shovel farther since I can't drive the tractor into this area. Also found 3 volunteer magnolias...not sure I'll have a place to move them.

Good morning all, 49 out now going up to unusually warm 82 today. 82 in the middle of April will sure get things growing, maybe my lettuce will say hello today.

Putting TPMS sensors on rv duallies is a real treat. You have that long extension pipe for the air and then you put this not lightweight hunk of plastic on the end. Have to wonder how that weight flying around might affect tire balance but those are big heavy wheels. I had one for 8 tires, six on rv and two on pulled trailer. If you get a flat on your trailer, often the much heavier rv can't feel anything inside. Most units alarm at ten percent below the amount set as normal at the correct temperature. I usually ran two pounds over recommended but never full pressure on tire, like 65psi. My last rv only required low 40's for air vs tires rated much higher. Big difference running an rv in New England vs near Ted's home.

I wonder how all the visiting rv's are doing in New Mexico cleaning out their a/c filters due to the flying dirt. Reminds me of sucking up jellyfish in the a/c strainers on my boat. And I'd have to swim under the boat in the pitch black and clean off the white guck jammed in the slots, and then clean out the filters inside. Sometimes packed with tiny jellyfish. Got that in the South part of the Chesapeake bay one August. That engine room took two days to cool off all that hot iron, so any filter checking or cleaning was a very sweaty affair.
Filters in rv a/cs aren't very high quality, bet there will be a lot of service calls.

going to pick up check for my truck this morning. Nice to get that money back in retirement fund. It sold for a little more than I paid for it.
by putting down a 5x7 tarp in rear of volvo I can haul a fair amount. Just can't tie stuff down easily so need to figure out that part. I have lots of straps, the question
is there anything to hook them to. Needs to be strong enough to keep wet dirty bags of mulch from sliding forward or sideways. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised to find a some little chrome tie downs hiding in there. I now have room for a small trailer behind the house so I might consider getting a hitch put on the back of the SUV. One ton trailer would be fine. The only real reason to have it for me is to get mulch and take my lawn mower to church to help mow the graveyard.

Friend is picking up 20 bags of cheap sale mulch at Lowes today in his full size truck, and will drop it off at church for me. Downside is all those non recyclable mulch bags. I've decided having a friend with a big truck is just fine, easier to borrow his and I give him 50 bucks for gas at least each time. He just ordered a new GMC Sierra with the small diesel. His Dad has the smaller GMC Denali with the baby diesel and I found it fairly unpleasant and noisy. Fine on a farm or around town but not a very comfortable vehicle regardless of the trim badge. The larger Sierra with the new big screen dashboard looks a lot nicer inside, better materials, am sure my friend will be very happy with it. Am thinking a Ford Maverick makes sense for me, if ever, and it would actually fit here which a full size truck doesn't.

Drew, you might want to consider picking up a small trailer instead of toting mulch and such in the Volvo...
Don't know about where you live, but bulk mulch (trailer or pick up bed) is cheaper

agreed completely; my issue is I can't shovel the bulk mulch. I can more easily drag a bag over where needed. No question bulk is better.
And throwing bags into trailer would be a lot easier. And I now have room to store it. Hmmmm.

A wheelbarrow would probably solve that problem
BTW, if you do consider a trailer, look on Craigslist

wheel barrow out, can't lift. But four wheel cart works and I have one.
always use wheels when one can

so nice to dress in shorts and short sleeve shirt today. And short socks. Lot of shorts...
Going to make the most of today's 82.

Good morning! 74˚F heading to the mid 80s. Yesterday there was a tornado 20 miles north of us but we just got quarter size hail and just .27" of rain.

Helogabals, It's nice of you to let her stay at your place while she tries to sort things out.

FireWise was fun yesterday as a dozen volunteers cleared hundreds of 3-7' cedars under oak trees. Surgical knee did fine. Used the saw-zall to cut cedars off at ground level.

Waiting on an e-mail this morning from the park ranger to see if we are rained out or if trail making is a go at the River Ranch Park.

50 here and calm and I'm on my second cup of coffee. GM's are a royal PITA to get the TPMS sensors to relearn. Round and round the vehicle....lol

Jeep is no better, just different. I fought mine for 5-6 weeks, then it just started working again.

Good Morning
It’s 50 and headed up to 80 today.

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful sunny day after the morning showers. But a very sad day for me. We took Emily for her final car ride, my wife and all the kids went to the vet to say goodbye. She was a sweetheart to the end, licking the face of the vet as she put the needle in her leg. Here we are waiting for the kids to get here, I’ll sure miss her, she was the best dog and friend I ever had.

Later in the day, I got the Lazer out and mowed the dryer areas around the house, but it’s still awfully wet out there.

Today I’ve got to get back to getting these speakers finished, have an airport authority meeting this evening, and plenty to keep me busy, which is a good thing.

Popgadget, I am truly sorry the loss of Emily. I’ve lost pets over the years and they’re all tough, but there is always that one that takes your heart when they go. God bless you all.

Morning all, 50 going up to 82, will need to get the AC opened up. Sun is out
Water still flowing through my trench, which is now acting like a brook

Got more branches and smaller rounds out of the planting area, but it's is still wet, maybe will be dry enough to get the tractor back there today to move the larger rounds.

We have a small bird that acts as our alarm clock now, keeps fighting itself in our bedroom window.

Paul - so sorry to hear about Emily- It is tough to deal with losing a family member.

Stay safe and be well,

RIP Emily.

The thunder boomers are here.

Re; TPM sensors, I have them in the Dodge s winter tires but not in the summers. I just drive for about 20 miles and the computer takes care of the rest. If the light doesn't want to go out a piece of duct tape works and presto the light is out.

Strange, my wife's jeep is a 2018 and within 3-5 miles the new ones have picked up and sync'ed with the display.
My last 2 RAM's have been the same 3-5 miles and all reading correctly.

Good morning! 62 now with a high of 69. Rain later….again.

RS, not sure how you are getting so much yard work done. There are too many places in my yard that either sounds like a sponge walking on it or water oozes up at every step. I had to use the tractor yesterday to move some stuff and it left tracks.

Helo, good luck with helping the refugee. And thank you for helping.

Pop, condolences for Emily, may she RIP.

Got a lot of outside stuff done yesterday. Biggest was a catch basin that was not doing a good job of draining water at the rear of the barn. Dug it up with a lot of help from Oscar the Friendly Goose. dug out the hole and set it deeper. Now the water is draining.

Used my Redneck carry all again yesterday on the tractor. A used hitch hauler and my receiver hitch on the tractor. Should have done this sooner. Amazing how useful it is. Now my wife wants something similar for the garden tractor.

Even mowed at one end of the barn. It was actually dry enough and the grass there has really started growing there.

Think I am starting to get my head around the fuel and electrical system of the race bike. Got a lot of fabricating to do to properly mount things. The bike down sensor should not be tie wrapped to a frame tube 🤦‍♂️ Same with the main power relay.

Everyone stay safe out there!
