Your towing rigs and trailers

4WD Tractor might be better with ag tires pulling it through mud, but really deep mud would be difficult.

It doesn’t take much to sink it to the axels even on fairly solid ground, not what I would consider mud. I’ve buried it on ground that you can walk on without getting your shoes dirty.

My 03 looks much like that except extended cab. And a smaller PJ dump trailer. Top Notch tilt deck hauls the tractor. And the toy.

I like the colors! The truck and vette match (or close anyway)!

Took the 3038e out to the acreage the other day. The 2020 Longhorn Ram is a nicer tow vehicle than the old 2008 F-150 in a few ways w/ backup cam, factory brake controller, self leveling air suspension, etc.

I've settled on a tie down routine using 2 10' chains, 4 axle straps & 4 ratchet binders.

nikdfish, suggestion for you. When chaining down, move your anchor points on the trailer closer to the tractor. In other words, try to chain more "down" than back. You will find that there is less bounce when going down the road. And ultimately, you will have a better ride in your truck.

I appreciate the advice, but the car hauler only has 4 deck rings, one at each corner. I wouldn't want to try & DIY additional ones for fear of screwing it up.
