Got some more mowing in yesterday, plan more today.

Friend Keith came over with his prototype underwater talking device he is working on to do some underwater evaluation. Basically, you hold this device to your mouth, talk, and anyone within range can hear you. Pretty neat, if more than about 4 ft away too muffled to understand. Says it will be good for around 40 ft, but making mods to reduce feedback. Of course he already has patented and spent good money getting to this point. Apparently, the dive community is excited.

Need to go to PO as the Scag key ignition switch needs to be picked up. Hopefully that puts the Scag back in business.

64° this morning going for 91°. I knew the TV news late yesterday showed some showers coming down from the north, but at 4 a.m. this morning I noticed the NWS website showed Denton got about .03" of rain. So I went out, found a big moon shining in clear skies, BUT about .64" of rain in my gauge.

Moon must have rained a lot.

None at home yet, radar shows green.

My wife and I sat outside for about 40 minutes last night watching the lunar eclipse and listening to the owls. It was really nice and no mosquitoes.

If Keith can get that working their is a huge market.
Communicating underwater is usually through extremely costly masks or via a little white or black board.
I wish him luck, it could save lives and make underwater diving more fun!

Good morning to all! Low of 45°, high today should be 84°. Humidity is at a whopping 3%, yes, just 3%. Heavy overcast / clouds, but only a 2% chance of a sprinkle...... I won't hold my breath.

Just piddled around this past weekend, took the trimmer for a few shorter walks, spread some mulch, pulled out the remaining few sections of post and rail fence, some shop cleanup / organizing. All at just a nice pace.....

Didn't do any more work on the privacy fence..... only 5 sections left to do, but the wind has been relentless. Might try to get some work done on it today.

Wifey wants to re-pot / pot up-size some trees that she grew from seed. They are Kentucky coffee trees. Now pushing 18-24" tall, but only in a 1 gal nursery pot. That might be the main agenda for today.... must keep tranquility on the home front.

The biggest fire in the state has now exceeded 290,000 acres. They had to divide it up into 3 different command sections. Each has different terrain and amount of fuels. I accidentally left my "public alert" notifications turned on in my phone.... last night it went off around 00:30 ..... evacuation orders for another town.

Thanks for posting those wildfire probabilities charts.... our county is #16 on the list. I have set up our property to 'fire wise' specs, actually exceeding the minimum standard, so definitely defendable.

I wish we could get some rain.....
