First cup of coffee poured. 55° with light fog this morning. Heading to 81° with mostly sunny skies. Made it back home yesterday by noon. Unloaded motorhome. Then decided that grass could wait another day. Since I will need to pickup the windrows with Trak-Vac. Need to wash motorhome before I get to grass.
Txdon, the big limb slayer gets scared by a Gray Frog. :ashamed::eek:
David S, enjoyed all your pictures.
Good Morning All.

Buppies is hearing the rain due in here at 11am. So....looks like I'll be mowing the rest of my lawn shortly. Started yesterday and rain shower drove me in.
About 1.5 inches due, good rain, seems like the lawn will never stop growing. Warm 77 degrees only going up to 81 in rain. Looks like a wet week ahead.

Made some decent progress on getting the guard for the engine and hydraulic pump fabbed up and welded, considering how little time I was up there:

Need the torches at this point so I can bend the solid round into place and finish welding it up.

Best news of the day: pipe bung I welded into the hydraulic tank doesn't leak

Just wondering, are you thinking about the rocket launchers on the forklift? It kinda looks like it. :) Ed

Good morning all, 67 here this morning with a high of 75. 90% chance of rain until 2:00 and then a chance of showers. Raining here sense 6:00 and I keep smiling, guess it is the farmer in me. Now rain just means I need to cut the grass. We have a list for the grocery that looks like the one santa has just before
Christmas so I guess I will go to the store when the rain stops. Have been adding water to the pool all summer and as we were closing it for the winter I found a rubber cap and it clicked. Checked the bottom of the ladder and it had one missing. Unhooked the cover and checked the lining and found a nice half moon cut. Got it patched and :cool2:. Was not looking forward to looking for a leak.

David It has been nice going on this vacation with you, but I am glad it is over, vacations always make me tired. :)

Ron Glad you are home.

Have a great day Ed

70 going to 79...good rain last night, and more looks to be coming in from SW...satellite just switched from HD to SD signal.

Had a nice day on the river yesterday...went to a friends for cookout and kayak fishing...I caught only tiny brim, but one guy caught a big smallie, and another guy caught a couple of nice largemouths. Nice paddling and had a bald eagle come by.

RS, that log splitter shelf reminds me of Mad Max.

David, have a safe trip.

Good morning! 75˚ heading to high 90s lots of sun no wind.

Eric you make a good case for the frogs homelessness. Ron I like to use the word startled instead of scared. Scared is too terrifying. The frogs and lizards like our doors at night and attach themselves to them while thy eat bugs attracted to the lights. When we open the doors inward they have a short ride to the great indoors. That gray frog can adjust his color so he is hard to spot.

Back in Summer mode this week, only do whats absolutely necessary during the heat of the day. Pool is still open water temp is holding at 90˚ in the morning, 94˚ in the evening with the clear solar cover. Volley ball season is over but we could have gone another month this year.

I'll try my EGO limb cutter on the ragweed by the front fence so I can see traffic when pulling out our drive.

62F and foggy @ 08:50 ... sunny with a high today in the low 80's which is about 10F above the average this time of year. Supposed to be unseasonably warm thru Friday, then back to more normal temps.

Got a good night's rest last night and up early this morning.

Had a good bit of rain yesterday, which rules out grass cutting for today. Like Ron, I'm going to have to be picking it up when I eventually do cut it ... it's probably at least 5" or 6" high now.

Hoping to get some time on the gas axe today so I can get those rods bent and then get the welding done.

Might swing by Summit Racing and pick up some ATP "seal rejuvenator" that TBN member ns_in_texas said he used on his front axle which stopped his seal leak. Not particularly a fan of "motor-rebuild-in-a-can" type products, but if I can put this repair off until the weather gets bad enough that I'm not trying to get stuff done outside, that would be good.
