It's pricey, but stainless steel 316 or 316L bolts are way stronger than the generic stainless steel 18-8 bolts. Since it's a tiller pounding on the soil, I would invest in those bolts and nylocks. It measures 48"side to side inside. And I've been taking off the tines, many are loose and theblts are ruty, so I am cleaning them up or going to replace. Looks like 2 diff size/styles tines. Will post pics once tey're all off.
48-inches = 1220mm. Thus, the Yanmar tiller is a RS1200 type. I'll look tonight for the RS120X variants to help you figure out exactly the right model. It measures 48"side to side inside. only one is different - the others are all smaller or slender. I'm guessing she may have had another tiller and just popped it on there. It's missing like a dozen tines. but they all fit right.I think we have just seen the first Frankensteinmar tiller.
Looks like prior owner replaced missing tines with smaller ones off something else. Are the small ones sloppy in their mounting slots?
I'll have to go to our real hardware store - they also need to be low profile heads so they embed so you can turn the nut. Some where replaced with odds and ends. It's pricey, but stainless steel 316 or 316L bolts are way stronger than the generic stainless steel 18-8 bolts. Good eye! Goodness, you are right, they are everso slightly different in size! I didn't even notice as I was stacking, just that some were slanted one way and others another. Lol wow. She said she's seen sets on eBay before. Once I figure out which is correct I will take a look.I think we have just seen the first Frankensteinmar tiller.
