CX2510 No Start - SOLVED

Pretty decent chance you need to replace the Safety Start Controller unit. This is mounted under the seat on the left side of the transmission. That will probably solve your issue.

Hope this helps

This was my first thought too - however in the past I have had Safety Modules burn out and still was able to start them when jumping at the starter. Affecting glow timing definitely would do it though. Interesting.

I've been reading through the WSM and I'm thinking I have a fuse blown on the engine wiring harness that's causing no power to get to that harness at all. That would explain the fuel cut solenoid and starter relay not functioning properly. I'll do some multimetering tomorrow to see where I'm getting 12v or not.
I was thinking fuse related as well - I would trace fuses and look for a blown fuse

A lot goes through this safety control module. I'm not sure I like this if this indeed does end up being the issue.

@MichiganIron - Is there a way to bypass this thing to verify this is the issue? I've already spent half a day trying to get a dead tractor lined up with my borrowed trailer before realizing the loader/grapple isn't going to clear the ramps.

We had a safety control module go out on a CK2610 cab - we were able to jump at the starter and get it running again - replaced the module and it started via key after that with no issues. I didn't realize the module controlled glow timing as MIE said, learn something new!

And the fuel cut solenoid apparently. If this ends up being the issue I may end up buying one to put on the shelf if they're not too expensive. Kind of a critical part if it can't be bypassed.

KISS...

Which slot do you think this fuse belongs to??

So clearly the Safety Control Unit is significant bottleneck on this model of tractor. Obviously my issue was just a fuse but it still concerns me that if this control unit goes **** up my tractor is dead. Then the question is whether Kioti still makes replacement units when/if that ever happens.

KIOTI still stocks controller units for 15 year old tractors. I would not be concerned about the availability in the future. A blown fuse is usually a symptom of an issue, not always the cause. That is obviously the safety controller fuse. Best to try a new fuse and work with your selling dealer for a replacement Safety Controller if the issue continues. You cannot start the tractor by simply jumping the starter motor since the Safety Controller also controls the fuel solenoid signal. Certainly annoying, but at least you know it's a simple issue to deal with. Blame it on there being too many attorneys running around. Manufacturers are forced to address as many situations as possible.

"Every problem is a result of a solution to a previous problem."

Hope this helps

I'm glad to see this resolved!

MIE - good info on the safety control module, I did not know that. Thank you

Nope. And it may not be the box either. It could be anywhere in between along the harness(es), a chafe, a rodent chew, a pinch, maybe even water/corrosion in a connector.

But in general, a fuse won't blow without a reason.
