Wonder what Vee-Dub did with all those diesel turn in's they had to buy back? I recollect seeing acres of them parked in holding lots.

Well, you can or at least the Range delete I have can. You just unplug it from the OBD port and the ECM reverts to it's programmed emission parameters. I don't have that issue here, no tailpipe sniffers out here. My opinion of all the emissions testing is, it's a racket anyway.

.....and the Range does not reprogram your ecm or leave evidence of you using it.

and your lifters can still fail in a few different ways, or you can end up with oil pressure issues because of the VLOM.

should have specified, when I rebuilt mine I could not do a physical delete, which is the best way to avoid any issues. i traded it in on a station wagon, and picking up a big block suburban for a truck, it will last way longer than the crap GM is building since 07.

This issue was one of the major reasons why I bought our 2012 suburban 2500. The 6.0l in these dosnt have the AFM and none of the issues caused by it.

I just picked up an 01 8.1L suburban and LOVE it. 200k miles and runs and drives great. cheap too, and will pull 12k lbs.
