mine failed at 120k. its not a small % that fail and those of us that need to pass emissions inspections cant delete it.
Well, you can or at least the Range delete I have can. You just unplug it from the OBD port and the ECM reverts to it's programmed emission parameters. I don't have that issue here, no tailpipe sniffers out here. and your lifters can still fail in a few different ways, or you can end up with oil pressure issues because of the VLOM......and the Range does not reprogram your ecm or leave evidence of you using it.
I just picked up an 01 8.1L suburban and LOVE it. 200k miles and runs and drives great. cheap too, and will pull 12k lbs.This issue was one of the major reasons why I bought our 2012 suburban 2500. The 6.0l in these dosnt have the AFM and none of the issues caused by it.
