I HAVE AN OLDER, EARLY 90S L2350 AND THE THREE POINT HITCH IS ONOP. ALL THE OTHER HYDRAULICS WORK. THE HITCH WILL FLOP UP AND DOWN BY HAND WITH LITTLE EFFORT. ANY IDEAS BEFORE I PULL THE UNIT OFF THE TRANS AN TAKE IT APART? HAVE NOT DEALT WITH A BAD 3 POINT YET.

THANKS TOM

IS THE KNOB UNDER THE SEAT THAT CONTROLS THE DROP ON THE 3 POINT ARMS OPEN OR CLOSED?? MIGHT BE FROZEN IF YOU NEVER USED IT TOO.

3 pt rate of drop valve only affects speed 3 pt lowers but has no affect on 3 pt ability to raise. All regular 3 pt hitch draft link arms such as this L2350 that doesn't have hyd down pressure on 3 pt hitch can be raised by hand when no implement(load) is attached to arms. Is feedback linkage(item 160) attached & adjusted correctly?

COULD BE THE LINKAGE BUT MOST LIKELY IT'S THE LOWERING CONTROL VALVE THAT IS STUCK.

ONE THING ABOUT THE ROCKSHAFT UPPER 3 POINT LINK IS, IF IT'S NOT THE LINKAGE OR THE LOWERING VALVE, IT WILL BE THE PISTON IN THE UPPER HOUSING WHICH IS EASILY REMOVEABLE AND REBUILDABLE BY REMOVING THE ENTIRE ROCKSHAFT CASTING FROM THE TOP OF THE GEAR CASE (AS YOUR PICTURE SHOWS). EVEN IF THE LINKAGE IS SUSPECT, THERE SHOULD BE SOME MOVEMENT OF THE UPPER ARMS RAISING UNLESS THE LINKAGE IS ENTIRELY DISCONNECTED.

It sounds as if the valve that controls 3 pt raising is non functional not the valve that controls 3 pt lowering.

THERE IS DEFINITELY NO MOVEMENT OR PRESSURE CHANGE WITH SHAFT MOVEMENT OR THE CONTROL ARM INPUT

If you have rear remote hydraulics, check to see if a lever is in the "float" position. That can depressurize the 3 pt system.

So, you got the tractor with the 3 point hitch not working? There is a chance that it could be a simple fix, if from the FEL controls the return to tank hose was replaced with the power beyond hose. That would bypass the 3 point hitch completely.

Can you take photos and post them? Take photos of the FEL controls, follow the hoses from there back to the main part of the tractor and take a photo of the hydraulic block (mounted on the tractor). Post those here and we can see if that is what happened...
