Better Radio For The LS MT342

The radio the LS Dealer installed in the cab of the tractor has all the features you could want but you can't see the read out on the screen.
Did anybody install a better radio that you can see what you are doing with the radio with out breaking the bank. I basically want to pair my phone in the radio.

I want a radio that will pair with my Bluetooth headphones. The cab is so noisy, the radio speakers are useless.

I'm not sure if they upgraded the speakers in the MT3 over the old XR. Probably not. That was one of the first things to get replaced in my tractor. I put some larger speakers in, had to cut some plastic, but sound is much MUCH better.

As for the head unit, I went with this Pioneer

It has Bluetooth and is bright enough to see at that awkward angle. I have yet to have an issue with it.

Typically car stereos do not stream music to other devices. At least, I couldnt find any. You might be better off with a simple bluethooth headphones and a smart phone. Pair them and stream directly from your phone.

The stereo the dealer installed in mine was fine, the speakers that came with the tractor are of very low quality.

But the comfort of the rest of the cab is very nice

That's the problem with using an automotive radio in a tractor.

I do stream audio from my phone to the headphones but I can't listen to local radio stations.

My Kubota radio has no audio output jack on the head. I'm playing around with an adapter like the one you mention, and tried tapping into the wiring harness but haven't had any luck so far.

I may have to replace the radio with one that has an earphone jack so I can use a streaming adapter. The problem then becomes how to protect it since it sticks out in front and can easily get broken off.

It would be nice if someone would make a radio for tractors that will stream audio.

I am surprised as I would think they would be common but I guess not.
There are lots of bluetooth transmitters that will interface with radios and provide the bluetooth for headphones.

This works well for music but not if you also want to listen to local radio stations.
