New to quick hitches

Good solution.

When I installed the Pat’s QA I also changed to telescopic/pin sway arms. Can easily adjust hooks to the perfect side to side position.

Had homemade pat’s type hooks with turnbuckle style sway control and used an temporary adjustable bar for width. Didn’t work very well and bent the width bar several times.

Enjoying the telescopic sway arms as much as the Pat’s.
Always thought the width bar on Pats was kind of a joke on user that the latest generation of QH eliminated....

I am real glad I bought the Pat's System quite a few years.ago....Mine are the older style, welded up version. I sure do recommend them

QH is good if you have all your and your neighbors tools made with standards.

EURO HOOKS are not QH
But we can adjust them from the cabin very easy.
Some welding job.

I have made universal both QH and EURO HOOKS but I like light Euro Hooks much more.
QH weight is 50 kg, Euro hooks 10 kg.

Nope, they are much better and easier to work with and around.

I have six implements that go on my Kubota M6040 3-point. I've checked three quick attach units for my 3-point. Seems that most all my six implements would require some degree of modification to fit.

I very seldom change implements. So....I've decided I can do without a quick attach unit.

Now if I sell an implement - It's at least OEM and the new owner can do as he sees fit.

Just chiming in and agreeing.... if a mix of older and newer 3 pt attachments...then Pats is the best practical answer. I'd didn't know better early on about how the pin width on 3 pt attachments made up until a few years ago wasn't really followed as a standard. I first bought a heavy-duty Cat 2 quick hitch .... which only fit 1 of my 9 attachments. Then I bought a Cat 1 quick hitch ..... that only fit 3 of them. Making the necessary modifications to all of my 3 pt attachments to fit one of fixed width and upper pin arrangement for the quick hitches just wasn't time or cost practical for me. So then I finally bought a Pat's hitch .... which fit them all......with no modifications, and I have since bought 2 more Pat's for my other tractors. About 2 years of experience now with the Pat's hitches and haven't seen any downside at all to using them so far. Would be happy to make anyone a great deal on an unused Cat 2 quick hitch and an unused Cat 1 quick hitch!!!

I made at first an fully universal QH. Too heavy and expensive.
Next I used EURO HOOKS. Too much broken ropes.

I LIKE EURO HOOKS IN MY WAY.
NO ROPES FOR LOWER HOOKS.

Lift arms with EURO HOOKS are flexible as PAT's.
But they are more. YOU can use both cat1 and cat2 and so on to bigger tractors.
Here is cat1

Only balls to attachments are different by hole diameter.

My links from cabin to HOOKS and right draft arm for movement.
I do not like loose ropes as manufacturers of EURO HOOKS make.
We need something better and to work from the cabin.

Here the right link moves the right draft arm in JD.
Left arm is steady in this John Deere.

Hydraulic top link has here slippy plastic rope.
It DO NOT work at winter. Slips

Next is my rope.
It has a 1 feet SPRING INSIDE ROPE keeping that upwards and out of broken.

Find also the other spring at middle of the hydraulic top link. That keeps the top link horizontal and light to use from the cabin.
My Kubota has hydraulic side bars on both lower links.
But this mechanical as JD has is OK.

Sorry my videos.
I am old man (82 y) and have no help for working here in forest and making new videos.
I had a patent application in USA. It take 3 years to get an answer. They wanted new pictures and words and money.
I said no more.
I hope some young engineer can do more.
And I hope you can widen this message to other forums.

Here is my video.

Question for Pat. Why do you fix the hitch on the arm with set screws instead of allowing it to swivel like a standard ball connection?

Anybody?

Need stationary position for hooking up implement. Set screws keeps it from swiveling down or left or right. When you hitch up to something like this everything has to be stationary for easy hook up.

I don’t.
It took me a long time to figure that out.
After many bent set screws, replacing them with a harder grade screw, still bending them, needing a machine shop to extract them, I don’t set the bolts. I let the Pat’s pivot.
