Ok I'll bite. Out of curiosity went out and did the build your on own on the JD site...
Excellent post, Yander. Finally, one with some real data and facts.

And for anyone focusing on price alone, while interesting, that wasn't really the point of the thread. We know Deere and Kubota cost more than Mahindra and Kioti, no need for 12 pages of posts of unsupported statements or opinion repeating the obvious. The real question is by how much, and whether or not it's justifiable, based on issues such as parts availability, support, features, etc.

@goeduck gets it, with regard to parts availability. There's always going to be parts available for higher-volume machines, even long after manufacturer support ends and dealer stocks run out.

Yes, I read the entire post. Been dealing with the same dealer for at least 20 years now. Always fair and always above board and always Kubota.

Nothing about John Deere has ever impressed me. My first commercial mower was from John Deere and it has been downhill ever since. Occasionally I work on a JD for someone and it's a hassle getting help, getting parts, having things in stock. All of the dealers here have been bought out by Ag Pro. That's a whole nother dumpster fire. I briefly looked at their offerings compared to the Mahindra 1626 and Kioti CK 2610 and I wasn't impressed. I just can't see spending a lot more and getting a lot less. Sorry, don't see the logic.

I've always liked Kubota but again, a lot more money, a lot less tractor. I have had much better luck dealing with Kubota on parts. I will give Kubota props there.

So what have I learned from all this?

Nothing runs like a Deere and nothing smells like a John.
But you failed to offer a better solution.

When people throw out claims about “a lot more Money, for a lot less tractor“ they should specifically document the exact amount, where it came from and which specific tractors were compared. That is, if they expect to have any serious credibility.

If they don’t expect to have credibility then have at it.
Comparing a Mahindra 1626 to Kioti ck2610, JD 3025e , and the Kubota L2501. Kioti was only other MFR. that offered shuttle shift and a higher end model (SE)with more options. I couldn't get a price because no one near me had any in stock. I also preferred made in Japan.

As far as JD, the 3025e was priced $7k more than the Mahindra. Even their subcompact was $2k more than the Mahindra compact. I already had a bad experience with them years prior and the right to repair issue irked me, as well as plastic hood and fenders, aluminum rear end, Non removable FEL, JD quick attach, and at the time, no backhoe option due to the aluminum rear end, according to dealer, and lower lift capacity on FEL. If I went hydro, it did have side by side pedals like the Kioti witch I liked but no shuttle shift. That's all I can remember at the moment.

The Kubota was $5k more and like Harley Davidson, I had to pay even more for stuff like fender handles and a floor mat. PTO wasn't live, steering setup was goofy, in front of axle and I would have destroyed it in no time. Treadle pedal is an absolute NO for me and no shuttle shift option. No tilt wheel. FEL was weak and joystick was on loader, not fender so basically I was only getting on and off on left side of tractor. I couldn't get a package deal with a trailer.

So there you go. Now you don't have to do any research of your own.

Not my job to. I'm not the manufacturer or the dealer.
Normally, in situations like this, if I am opposed to a product in detail, as you did, I would offer an alternative or solution. If I don't, then what was my point?

Just to poop on John Deere.
Every farmer I know around here uses Deere, that's what I chose and happy with. I'm in middle of two dealers...one I bought from a little closer, good service with them, a few snags but overall ok.

I did offer another solution, it was a Mahindra 1626. I even offered the Kioti CK2610 solution. There's also a TYM solution, a Branson solution, and Bobcat solution. I think even RK has a solution.

How many solutions do you want?

I must have missed the post where you offered those? Certainly wasn't in the post I quoted. Sorry.
