Kubota utilizes Cummins in their M7 line, the M6 line still is Kubota engined.

Yep, the Versatile Nemesis is the Kubota M7. Kubota is not making the M7, it is made in the Versatile factory. Versatile painted it orange, and made some changes per Kubota's request to differentiate it.

I remember when Kubotas biggest tractors were 80-120HP and I think were built by SAME. Then the M-95 through M-125X came out. Those were Kubota. Then the M-126 & M-135 came out.

Many years of abuse. I had to save it though.
I think it’ll be most of 2023 to get it finished.

Yes, I was commenting on how Kubota is using the 6.7L Cummins in their new bigger M’s in another thread.
I guess the Kubota 6.1L 4cylinder reaches it’s max at about 200HP, while the Cummins would probably go up to 260+ in a farm tractor.

Tractor engines generally don't exceed 2/3 HP per cubic inch (40 HP/L) at the present time, and it is generally only the highest-tuned four-valve engines with something more complicated than a single fixed-vane mechanically-wastegated turbocharger and a single aftercooler. An engine with a simple two-valve head and single turbo with fixed vanes and a mechanical wastegate will usually be no more than about half a HP per cubic inch (low 30s HP/L.) The Kubota V6106 engine used in the M7-173 goes up to 173 HP, and it's a four-valve, single-turbo engine but that's about all I can tell about it from a search of their website.

The Kubota V6106 could theoretically go to about 250 HP if they wished to push their power density to the same levels that their competition does. Cummins offers the current Tier 4 four-valve variable-geometry turbo B6.7 at up to 326 HP ratings for agricultural applications. Deere and FPT offer similar-sized engines (FPT 6.7 and Deere 6068) up to about 300 HP using similar technology as Cummins does.

Regarding the IH, you posted in another thread that the engine is a 2006 HT570 so it's essentially a pre-emissions DT466E with a longer stroke. Thankfully you missed the whole MaxxForce emissions debacle on that one!

The older Big Buds had double breasted Yamaha's in them. Not an efficient motor and you can still get a reman Cat with no electronic controls but you'll pay for it. I have an NZ 3406 in my Eagle and it's rated at 500 horses but I have it buttoned to 750. All aftermarket stuff now. 18 speed Road Ranger with 370 rears. It's a triple digit truck.

Been offered 20 grand for mine. Not for sale (just the engine).
