Buying Advice Trident tractors in OZ

/ Trident tractors in OZ #21
Trifent Tractors are imported from China. Most suppliers in Northern Rivers have now stopped selling Chinese tractors due to the large amount of customer complaints and no spare parts to fix broken tractors and implements. Chinese tractors are not intrinsically bad but the cheaper manufacturing standards and softer metals used do not bide well for long term use. My 1970's Kubota is built like a brick dunny and even 50 years later probably still has another 40 or 50 years left in it!

I was thinking it was neat, how much Chinese machines have improved ergonomically over the years. Instead, I'm wondering how the hell Nicholas and Lovol can make this claim.

This seems a bit of an outright lie.

It still amazes me how often a person will buy only on price. The lowest price seldom is the lowest cost.

Please don't buy a Trident tractor from Nicolas machinery PTY, South Australia. I brought a tractor 14 months ago new. All I have had is trouble. I did a clutch at 200 hours, they would not replace it under warranty, even though my mechanic said it was faulty. Many other problems, parts breaking, falling off etc. Too many to problems to mention. The after service is nil, I ring no answer, I leave messages no reply. Really bad service. My implements have all broken within 12 months, very poor quality, now junk laying around my farm.
I agree with you I bought a new Trident from Nicolas machinery 1 month ago refuse to use it as the gear box gears grind and the noise from the gear box and differential is very loud like there is no oil in them but there is - I have sent them 4 emails about the problem no reply and when I call them they say fill out there warranty form again still no reply - the gearing system is bad and same no service - have to now go and look at my legal options -

I'm sorry to hear that, they seem more than willing to **** over their customers once the check has cleared.

This seems a bit of an outright lie.

Not really, they are literally a rip off of old western reference designs. see chondas are honda small engine ripoffs, lifon are honda posti bike engine ripoffs, loncin are old kawa klr engine ripoffs and literally use the same jug!

Even the 90k staff could be correct if you count sales, logistics, marketing and every other aspect of the Enterprise being a CCP company.

but the best selling point cold be a stretch, possibly when you combine all the rebrands ie, apollo, trident, focon etc... you may get in to double digits in say the 20 to 40 hp class???

The best selling bit is explicitly what I was reffering to.
