Updated Good Morning:

Remembered to take a device when we went up to the woodlot for dog walking

I got some photos of my lower arm modifications from a couple weeks back for your critiques (Planck iron pipe nipples as spacers on the Case Eagle arm shafts to keep the Fergie-style arms outboard for triangulation/stability):

I am sure there is some sorta superior solution, but this was under $10 and about 20 minutes. And now I just need to go and try it out one of these days real soon.

Finally, here are the “new” chainsaws, pictured with my former “PROPERTY OF UHAUL” saw next to a Jen-U-Wine Homelite saw case:

The one with the Oregon r is the best-running of the three, the one with the shorter bar needs the fuel line to the carb replaced (it is cracked), and the two-tone is a parts saw. All three for a C-Note. View attachment 788447

Movie Trivia:

The saw used by the character Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a Homelite SuperXL12.
I would flip those lift arms over to get the angles working better for you.

Good (Wednesday - Ides of March) morning. Overnight Low of 16C and it's presently 27.4C, clear and calm. Beautiful day!

It's 'into town' for groceries day. I'll do a 'patrol' around the property for downed twigs/branches & round-up spray weeds/thistles. Perhaps trim after that.

That's about it, take care all.

Would it make that much difference? The width of the implements pins are pretty much standard, no?

(I really dont want to have to pound out those pins again 🤪)

Look at the angle the pin eyes are at, both ends are angled and not getting the ball ends squared up in the arms.

29°F and clear skies this morning, and only got up to 43° today. Near 60° by Thursday, but that warmer air is bringing some rain with it.

Been a couple weeks since I've been here. Even had to log in again. I was still behind from my last absence, and now even more so.

Our period of life's downsides finally culminated a week ago Monday when our oldest Border Collie, Evey, left us. She started slipping fast that weekend, and by Sunday evening she could barely walk, even with us lifting her and holding her up with a strap. The cancer was taking it's toll on her. Wife took her to the vet the next day. She later sent me a simple text message saying, "I'm back from the vet's office." The singularity of that statement was not lost. Evey came back home today in her new urn, and sits once again next to her favorite cat, Katniss, who also left us back in December.

Somewhere in all the time since I last babbled here, I managed to fix the barn door. This time, it got beefier braces - about 1/4" thick - and fatter screws to hold it in place. There will surely be a few splintered 6x6s if that ever comes loose again.

I'm sure I've missed a lot. Hope everyone is well.

Good evening, gents.

Kilroy, without seeing what the stock OEM parts look like, I can't judge. But I'm worried if you tug on those pipe nipples much, they may fail. Lower Arms are predominately in tension, but if backing up a blade, they are in compression which gives a different force.

Sorry about the loss of Evey

Glad you are back and making sand
