Mom called, "Chow time" and the fawns responded.

Turtle 🐢 time again for me .

This one has got to be an escaped pet
If that's in new england, it's definitely not native. I'd have grabbed it if possible.

We have a Russian tortoise that we've been babysitting for about 6 years (belongs to one of our kids). Pretty interesting. But I'd rather he had a lot more room to roam. He's quite active April through November. Gotta keep an eye on him in the yard. He's fast and always heads south!

Most people have never experienced an invasion of Mormon crickets. Here's a couple photos of a Mormon cricket swarm on the walls of the hospital in Elko, Nevada, taken by a friend of mine who works as an ICU nurse there:

What would you do if you had an appointment at the hospital and had to leave your car in the parking lot (which is covered in crickets also) and walk into the building?

Seagulls would absolutely take care of this situation.

Wow, those Mormons are nasty.

We've had a pair of Luna moths on our front porch for the last couple of days.
At my old house it wouldn't be unusual to see 3 or 4 Lunas on the house next to the porch light. It was also not unusual to see just 4 wings on the ground. I think they were tasty meals for the bats quite often.
I don't think any other moth beats the Luna for beauty.
