Don, did you take the cruise serving meals with the good diet?
This was not the Holistic cruise out of Florida.
It was the Royal Caribbean out of Galveston which now has a vegan options on the menu in main dining room and the Windjammer is the buffet with lots of plant based options including some really good Indian dishes. The only thing I had to ask for is plant based milk, each morning, which they always had just not out where anyone could grab it. it is a lot easier than before when we had to request an adjustment to the menu a day in advance in the main dining room.

Good morning! Yesterday still reached 104 (not heat index) but the high pressure has moved a bit to the East and predictions are only 99˚F for today.
I did get the passports renewal sent in so we are good to cruise for another 10 years after a 9 week processing wait to get them. The renewal rate increased to $130 each. The new port terminal has facial recognition when exiting the ship and there are no forms to fill out anymore so customs check at the port only amounts to a brief stop in front of the camera with a three second wait before the green light flashes.

Drew, On the RC ships there is never enough plugs. We got these adapters to utilize the "European" outlets. They worked great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082YR8Y97?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

68F with haze/smoke @ 09:15, heading up to around 84F for the day's high.

Enjoying the first cup.

Four deer were just out back, the one white spot fawn was having quite a time ... romping around and kicking it up. Very cute to watch.

Just leave my plants alone ...

Don't think the smoke is supposed to be quite as bad as it was yesterday, supposed to be clearing more as the day goes on. Air yesterday was pretty horrid - really easy to see it and it stunk pretty bad:

In spite of that I did manage to get the front yard all mowed and it was due. Thankfully caught it before it got too long.

Ran down to the corner after that and picked up 5 gallons of gas for the Cub and got it refueled when I got back.

Got 3 rugs ordered from Amazon for The Woman for the main bathroom. That used up most of the credit on Amazon ... so no JBL Flip 6 for me ... :(

Some tamales, refrieds, and The Woman's pork with chili verde sauce for dinner ... with a Mike's to wash it down. Tollhouse cookies for desert.

We left the AC and fan running overnight, just to try and keep the air in the reasonably house clear.

As Billy noted, we were in a small pocket of really bad air yesterday. Think the number was 306 ... anything over 300 is Hazardous (the worst category) ... :(

Agenda for today:

Start getting blueberry plants and strawberries potted.

Probably get the rest of the lawn down here around the house mowed.

Garden soil looks like it starting to dry out so might finish up the grading on that.

Plus whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday ... (y)

Drove all around the other day, looking for porcelin lampholders with a pull cord switch and NO outlet. No joy. Found some plastic ones, but I'll be taking them back. The local hardware store had the porcelin ones, w/o a switch or outlet. 12 foot ceiling lights would be hard to switch anyway, I bought those. Canadian smoke has returned here. Bad enough to have me wheezing/hacking a bit, and even plugging up my CPAP filter much faster than usual.

The link is for some of the reports that daughter is managing via partnership with Yale university and Esri the spatial software company. This is also what was used as open source information to document Russian war crimes and obtain an international arrest warrant for Putin.

Will this be the second? How many are needed?
Past open source data reports were used for the arrest warrant but the documentation continues to accumulate and shared with the public and to form a basis for some future war crime trial maybe

in safe and sound in Knox PA.
big campground, they put me in transient area, basically in a field.
put the awning out, blocked the sun and a/c is doing its job.

my drivers mirror was shaking like mad, I knew something had come loose. Took it apart, sure enough, three nuts only finger tight.
Now my view shouldn't bounce around so much.

very pretty drive out 80 but haze and smoke at times covered the mountains. Several times it really smelled. Supposed to be bad here, but at least I don't smell it. Yet.

I am so ready for a nap, up at 4am, need a rest. Doesn't look like any wifi here so will be reading my book tonight.

68°F and .30 inches rain.

May not be a highly productive day, mostly piddling about with little tasks, many related to the paint project such as putting stuff back in place or maybe a new place.

Hair cut appointments for later morning. Would have preferred earlier as this just cuts into the rhythm of the day, but have to take what’s available.

H&F at friends home later this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Drew- I am glad your trip is relatively uneventful so far. I hope this trend continues.

Don- If I was living down your way I’d be living in a walk-in freezer.

RonJH- Nice flower capture. I too will be wearing a mask the next time I take the rider for a spin.

Ken- A better example of a Giant Leopard Moth. I found this one near my computer station last year.

There was a break in the cloud deck last night and I captured a picture of a waxing Gibbous Moon:

This morning’s low temperature was 58ºF. I knew this would be an “Air Quality Alert” day the minute I rolled out of bed this AM. I am so glad that I got that rescue inhaler the other day. Thanks to the inhaler this morning’s dig tour of the lower perimeter was no problem; nor were the 2 deer that stayed in the field for most of the walk. It has been a mix of filtered sun and clouds most of the day solar The current temperature is 73ºF and it may get a little warmer later today.

I string trimmed a tankfull’s worth of vegetation down by the road and access to the propane tank early this morning. I see no further need to stress my lungs outside this afternoon.

Good Morning!!!! 73F @ 5:45AM. Plentiful sunshine. Hot. High 102F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Retorqued the wheel bolts on the van yesterday; all of them needed about 1/8 of a turn to reach the specified 145 lb. ft. Gave the front and rear camera lenses a good cleaning, and ordered a very long handled brush for washing the rest of the body. Also ordered oil and filters for it, and a new Dewalt shop vac that is supposed to be unusually quiet. Tired of having to wear muffs every time I go to clean up. Was feeling a bit rich after first Social Security check was deposited.

Mail man was supposed to deliver held mail yesterday, but I guess he forgot. Haven't gotten any mail for two weeks.

Need to get the sprinkler system on the roof installed on the new gutters, and am not looking forward to going up on the big ladder to do it. Gonna be one of those little bit at a time kind of jobs.

Found this on Facebook yesterday. Never seen anything like it!

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
The first thing I do with any new/new-to-me vehicle is pull the wheels and anti seize the threads. And the backs of the rims if they are alloy.
