Time has flown by, glad the Vietnam era has passed!

My dad was a barber in the 60's, he hated the Beatles, said they killed the barber business😅
The only barber business it killed was the old school guys who only knew how to cut hair 2 ways...a crewcut or a "regular". The barbers who adapted to the new ways did just fine.
There was a barbershop where I lived in the late 60s/70s whose gimmick was all female barbers. Not uncommon today, but rare back then. Not a hair salon, IIRC they didn't even do womens' cuts (a separate license was required). Friend of mine told me about the place...felt a bit weird at first, but the prices were reasonable and they did a great job, which was more than I could say for some of the male barbers in town. Plus it was nice having a woman's hands in my hair. :)

One thing I was a bit surprised to see come into style was hair gel for men...the modern day equivalent of Brylcreem or butch wax. Ugh. Couldn't get way from that stuff fast enough!
I can no longer grow hair on the top of my head...instead, it grows like crazy out of my ears and nose and eyebrows.
Yeah, I'm seriously considering training my nose hairs into a mustache. :ROFLMAO:
I think I’m gonna puke.
Sorry you're still stuck in 1958. Men don't have to settle for lousy haircuts anymore.

I don't think I've actually lost any hair. The result of global warming it's just migrated to less exposed areas like my ears, nose, back and chest.
I was a long hair as a kid but appreciate the simplicity of hair care now. I cut it to the deck every week. No worries about fancy shampoos, dandruff or any other hair issues. Just remember to wear a hat after lunch on the real hot sunny days

PS: I used to laugh at the fat, bald, four eyed guy. Kharma is a *****.

We had the old Italian guy who cut every guys hair the same. He used to make fun of me when I was a teen. I only cut my hair about once a year if it needed it or not. He said his floor looked like he was sheering sheep after he was done with me. I would take the broom from the corner and sweep it up to shut him up, much to the amusement of the old guys waiting their turn to get their 6 remaining hairs cut.
It was scary when he shaved your neck and sideburns. He'd come at you with his straight blade in his shaky hands, you knew you were gonna die. Never even knicked me.

We were all jealous of my friends older brother. We were too young to get into a place that had topless hair cutters. He always bragged about the shampoos. It got closed up by the cops long before I got a chance to go,

Nicest and most expensive haircut I ever got was in Nevada years ago from a good looking busty top less barber. It was interesting for a one time experience.

I think that would be a mite tempting……
