I found the Colbert Report absolutely hilarious. Never really spent the time on his later show(s).

Ever since the writers strike, they are all re-runs.

When someone decides that in order for a cotter pin to retain something it must be twisted into a pretzel. When someone goes to home Depot and figures they will replace all the wiring on a trailer or boat with Romex to top it off figure using a generous supply of wire nuts will secure all connections on something prone to movement and vibration finally or not using proper crimp connectors for stranded wire and making it look like you used a 20 ton press to make a connection usually severely compromising the wire your connecting to something been told it just needs to survive a brief 6 lb pull test. Rants over.

I'd extend that to almost anyone who ever touches wiring, period. If you don't have the tools and haven't worked in commercial electronics, it's going to be a mess in the eyes of anyone who does.

I have never bought a used vehicle or trailer, where I don't just have to shake my head when looking at the prior owner's wiring.
