Just watching coverage from the Farm Progress Show since I decided on attending local tractor shows instead of going.

Lots of new releases from the CNH twins.

75 horse electric tractors. (No, I don't want one but they look really nice. I love the work light setup on them.)

They also apparently saw all the sales they missed out on in the extremely lucrative sub compact segment the last couple years, so they have their new LS built SCUTS.

And a new Farmall Super M!

There's a new Farmall 25 compact also. I wonder if that is LS based also? It looks different.

Wonder what the cost of 75HP electric is compared to diesel? One selling point for the 25HP electrics, was they weren’t row crop tractors, and you wouldnt be using them for hours each day. Well, the larger the tractor gets, the more likely you will be using it for extended periods…

Haven't seen pricing yet, but bet it will scare you. Says they will run 4 hours and they have a 3 year battery warranty.

I find it odd though, that they come with more lights and heated seats (where you'd want to be saving your battery) yet the diesels don't have them, LOL

I would also want to see replacement cost for batteries before I purchased. With only a 3 year warranty doesn't seem like they have much faith in them.

Im saying $10k plus. The 25hp units they claim are $3k-$5k to replace. Three years isn’t much, what’s Teslas policy? 4 years or 50,000 miles.

How about their NEW CIH Quad track 717? It peaks out at 780 hp...

That would be impressive if it wasn't for the return of Big Bud with C18 Caterpillar power.

But the new Steigers do look really good.

Electric tractor will probably give you a nice electirc bill unless
you have plenty of solar. IMHO the cost of the tractor & battery
replacement isn't worth the money for what you get! Just think
how much fuel you can get for $10K in 4 years you could buy a
new tractor. Diesel fuel at $5 a gal you could buy 2000 gallons
using 240 gallons a month would have 8.33 years of fuel

I'd just like to have a section in the operator manuals on how to operate, set and tune the radios in my 2 2023 New Hollands...

I suspect everyone is chasing the Fendt 1167 twin trac already in production at around 675 - 700 HP. Problem is you can’t tie that power to the ground at a reasonable speed. They are figuring 150 - 200 HP for running hydraulics for the big air seeders and then enough power left to pull the 80+ foot air seeder and 1300 bushel seed cart.

I did a test. I never could get New Holland to ever reply to a message or a phone call when I tried buying a new Boomer years ago, but I messaged them today and asked if they are going to publish the replacement cost of the batteries and their expected life span.

I explained for a potential customer to get interested in going electric, they need the peace of mind that they can actual pay off the tractor and see ROI before they ever need the expense of a battery replacement. Especially when you only offer a 3 year warranty on batteries.

Sure would be nice to see those that styling, heated seats, worklights, and follow me and invisible bucket features on the 75 horse diesel versions.

Well, CNH customer service actually answered this time. She was very helpful. She gave me the name of my local dealer (who was not even remotely my closest dealer) and said they could probably tell me more. Then she gave me a link to the parts look-up site so that maybe, I guess I can look up the price of batteries on my own? LOL

Anyway, it reminded me why the only blue tractor in my yard is a FORD and why I have only bought Kubota and Agco products since the last time I tried to deal with CNH back in 2008.

In my Workmaster 75 Operator's Manual it is in section 10 Accessories, at the very back of the manual.

Thanks, but my Powerstar models have the info in the book, but it's not the model of radio in the tractors.
