A few years back I saw a simple neat setup to pull t-post with a loader. let me try to describe it. This contractor was removing silt fence posts and on the side of his load bucket he had a simple D ring welded on. it was free to move in welded saddle and he would maneuver to get the tpost in the ring then lower the bucket, once a foot or so was in the D-ring he would ever so slightly move fwd or back and lift, the ridges on the t post would catch on the hoop of the D-ring and bind as he lifted. I witnessed this operator pluck t-post at an incredible pace. I was impressed and it was so simple I did not even think to snag a photo of the setup.

I clamp a couple of pieces of 2X6 across the tines of my grapple. Squeeze the post between the 2X6's and pull it out with the fell. Quick & easy without getting off the tractor and the 2X6's don't mangle the T-post.

Did he have tog.et off to remove post?

Enough with this silly tractor attachment talk.

You should be able to get one of those little jack devices, that are made for that job, for under $40 from Northern tool or someplace like that. They are much faster and easier than using a tractor for that job.

It’s almost easier to lift a post with that little jack handle than it is to turn the steering wheel on a tractor with power steering. The big time saving comes from not needing to maneuver the tractor over the posts.

I put in a lot of snow fence with t-posts and a pile driver every fall and pull them every spring with one of those post jacks. Pulling them is always a cakewalk compared to putting them in.

Seems like good advice if you are on a hand tool forum. This is a tractor forum. We like to use our tractors! 😀

Maybe. I own one. I think that it is great in soft soil.

In the dried clay soil, aka cement, that we have here nine months of the year, my tool either doesn't lift the T-post, or breaks (repaired it once, and quit using it).

I have T-posts that even with 1800lbs of lift force don't come out of the ground. After trying for half an hour on one, I left it. Perhaps the next owner will have more oomph in their tractor, or just dig it out with an excavator.

All the best,

Peter

Perhaps she needs a new boyfriend. Teach her to do the tractor work and get your backside out there doing the physical labor. I thought you were from Dixie? Most fellas down here are a wee bit more chivalrous. 😀
I'm not just from Dixie, I'm from the heart of Dixie !
Women marched, and protested to have equal rights ! I'm not about to go against the supreme court ruling ! 😂
She gets to do the tractor work. Every time the grass is high enough to bush hog !

I have a thumb and a ripper attachment on my BH. I can grip the top of the T-post between the ripper and thumb and lift it out.

Interesting part is I can drive the T-post into the ground the same way.
