No idea where you are located. Look at the manual for viscosity vs operating temp range. 10w30 is for cold weather in most diesels. 15w40 for warmer weather.

Rotella is a good oil. T4, T5, T6. Good stuff, but look at the actual viscosity you need

Ambient temperature isn’t much of a concern if oil used is a good synthetic. Most of the hd diesel engine manufacturers in the past 5 years have been recommending 10w30…
