I'm guessing you're feeding them square bales? Here, square bales are selling for $10 each. I sure hope you're getting them for a lot less then that!!!!!
$4 If you pick off field, $5 delivered, not unloaded.

Are you picking up 900 bales from the field? Everything about getting that much hay, storing it, and then feeding it, just sounds like an overwhelming amount of work!!!!

900 bales, but not at once! Glad we factory ordered the F150 with HD Tow package. Good luck finding one on a dealer lot!

Meat bird starter granuals is $27 at Tractor Supply today!
With the load on the truck, that was well over 200 bales (215?) as I recall, but we now try to limit the loads to about 150. usually the next day we have to get another load, so better not to kill yourself. Several folks pick up off the fields, so if we don't get the hay, someone else does.

Darn! I tore my right shoulder rotator cuff again this morning. Playing in the woods is over for the year.
I have been too busy to Post. I was feeling pretty good for 69 years old until this morning.
I started hiking again, which really helped my bad back and arthritis, Joined Planet fitness, and started riding motorcycles after they been in storage 13 years.
This morning still half asleep I stepped/tripped on a black plastic boot tray used to keep the large dog bowl spillage to a minimum and I went down very hard on a tile floor. X rays show nothing broken, however I cannot lift or extend my arm.
I went into the woods today to retrieve my excavator, and one arm clean the tracks. Really hurting now.
Here is my project.
Clearing Maybe + 1/2 Acre in rock filled NH is real work!

Sorry to hear about your fall. Hopefully it's just bruised and in a few days it will start to feel better.

I'm overwhelmed seeing all that rock that you are dealing with. I've found about a dozen rocks on my 68 acres in the last 20 years of digging out trees and moving dirt around. Rocks cost a lot of money to buy since they have to be trucked in from other states. It's a wealthy person that has a lot of rocks in their landscaping here!!!!!

Afraid it is a traumatic tear of right rotator cuff. I've been through that with the left. Out of action for 6 months. We have only 17 acres maybe plus 10 of it is cleared, all rocky hill NH type ledge. If you go way back in the thread, there are some blast pictures. One acre of pasture will feed one cow mid spring to mid to late fall on our fertile pasture.
