Good morning! Low of 14°, currently 29°, on the way to 40°. Minimal snow melt yesterday, only hit 35°. Only areas that melted were where it was shoveled or broomed.
Dennis, definitely a sad day. There is some good woodworking shown for sure.
Drew, nice pics. A couple million bucks floating by.....
Found a flaw in the addition / deck build.... the roof runoff drips directly on the first step (out of 5) going off the deck. I cleared the snow early, but then the roof drips put a nice coating of clear ice....
The son went out to retrieve a FedEx package.... BOOM, BANG, THUD !! He went down hard. Only initial complaint was his wrist.... hopefully, there won't be any further.
I'll need to get a gutter put up. Wifey has been saying we need gutters for couple years already. ----- But--- we hardly get any rain......
Successful day moving the desk / computer / associated office stuff.

Still needs a bit more organizing, but mainly done.
We keep looking at the spot the 'desk' used to be.... it seems strange to see the open space. I have another project lined up.... going to build a tall cabinet custom sized to the space. The Fiber-optic internet equipment comes in at that spot, so the cabinet is a necessity to house all the stuff now sitting on the floor.
That just gives me an excuse to go back to the sawmill
I'll try to control myself and not buy a giant stack.....
Going to add some looong (10') shelves in the addition up near the ceiling. I have a 40 year collection of Hess Trucks. Wifey said they should be on display.
I'm glad the shop is in relatively 'organized' condition......it soon won't be....

Wifey got me hooked on a new internet marketplace called "Temu". Thousands of items, all really low priced. The site has a lot to be desired, but worth the aggravation. Funny thing is a lot of the tools (mainly hand tools and accessories) are the same as HF. Only the price is less than half.
For $100 got an assortment of 80 jigsaw blades, 8 side cutter drill bits, an assortment of 7 step drill bits in an aluminum case, a sheet metal cutter that attaches to a drill, a right angle drill attachment, 20 neodymium magnets, an 82pc sanding drum kit, and a black metal weathervane. --- And free shipping.
Definitely need to use the search function if you are looking for something in particular, otherwise you'll never find it.... just way too much stuff to scroll through.
Anyway, sorry about the long post.....
Today is going to be a tinker / piddle day.....
Everyone have a great day!
