Most cars come with that from the factory nowadays. The commercial underbody coater is extinct here...
good point. this was in early 90's. not only are commercial under coaters extinct, but the cab only manual w/long bed are long gone. being of late life stage, glad i don't have to consider a new or recent model pick up purchase. they're a totally different beast today. regards

Unimog ?

Or wheel loader ?

I love the European tractor plows and plowing videos in the mountains. Fendts running down switchback driveways nearly running off the edge of the road.….cool stuff.

I’m just looking for a stinkin reg cab 1-ton diesel plow truck.
If I wanted a crew cab, I’d have 300 trucks to chose from.

Sucks these days, back when I was extensively shopping for my truck new and used, everyone seemed to be getting rid of there old regular cab option void def free duramax's. if I didn't have extra passengers I would have probably picked one up. In fact the dealership where I finally found mine ,had quite a few brand new 3500 baby dumps both gas and diesel reasonably priced at the time. Times have changed in almost 8 years I guess.

Thoughts on extended cabs? I always loved the suicide door types, the back seat folded up offered so much room for activates.

Or just all my ****...

Trolls a thread just to be immature?
Or just making a joke. You've got to admit there was some irony there.

Maybe in your country, but here in northeast U.S. it's still a big deal. I don't know if any of the undercoating chains are still around, but lots of independent shops offer Fluidfilm or NHoil undercoating. I have all of mine done.

That would be my first choice. Getting hard to find now though...not sure if anyone still makes them. I know they were discontinued on both the Ranger & Colorado for '24.
I have no need to carry back seat passengers and really appreciate the extra enclosed storage space.

When it comes time to replace my current truck I'm seriously considering going the "southern truck" route.

I think it was mostly a mean-spirited toll by someone who has trolled others in other threads, but whatever.
Maybe just keep it positive and on topic?

That is why I selected a 500 mile search radius. I am finding trucks in N & S Carolina, Tennessee, and southern VA that have less rust. The sellers know it and want mucho-denero for their rigs.

No matter what the brand, in MY area, most under 20K plow trucks are rusted.

I'm a bit north of you, but from what I've seen 'most any truck under $20k or so is rusted. Pickin's in that price range are slim too. I'd imagine in the heavier duty trucks even more so in that they get worked hard, and are pretty much used up when the owners decide to sell.

Hmmm. Not exactly what I want, but close by, current PA inspection and good tires. Cheap.
New pump, injectors and tires….
