Well I got one feel bad for the unethical CEO and mainly his employees. I wonder how much of the blame (or at least shared blame) belongs to the many government “solutions” to our COVID plandemic that were being implemented concurrently with the rapid demise of EA(RIP).

Contractor pressure, supply scarcity, employee scarcity, interest rates etc.

I know when it comes down to it, the CEO just got to a point where he gave up, and robbing people of their money should alone send him to jail imo.

I have an acquaintance whose business was seriously disrupted by all that nonsense and he ended up taking advantage of PPP in a seriously illegal way(to the tune of millions). He’s doing 5.5 years in federal right now.

I can’t help but think government share the blame tempting all these guys to become thieves.

There, I changed the subject. Let’s see how that goes

I guess what amazed me most is the number of people who kept their head in the sand as to where this was headed, you didn't need to be Nostradamus to figure it out , a company has all these folks money and close the doors, don't answer phone calls, don't return phone calls or e-mails, not a vehicle one in the parking lot and nearly everytime someone would post these things the heads in the sand would holler speculation, well it ain't speculation no more, just a sad day for the workers and the customers that haven't/won't get their money back.

Money is strange in that many people, probably most can't handle it. So many successful businesses I know of went out when the founder passed and inherited by son/daughter. Lottery winners are a good example. Many people someone could give them millions and it would be gone quickly.
I've heard lots of million and billionaires if they suddenly had to liquidate people would be surprised how little they really have.
Then I think worth can be inflated, debts can be hidden and to me banks extending credit to that extent should be liable.
As more surfaces the worse it actually is. Paying in advance waiting for months is a red flag, another way of saying I have no money or material.

No one did and I didn't, re-read the post I said to some of us it is unacceptable to pay in full up front for an item to be shipped 6 + months later, pretty simple, comprehend?
Again, I read what you said.
They still don't understand that it's not acceptable to some of us to be billed in full and then receive the item 6 + months later.
The point you and a lot in this thread can't seem to comprehend is that your statement has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything. You are trying to hold EA accountable for not running the business model YOU want to do business with.

EA was up front about their requirements for you, or anyone else, to do business with them and NOBODY was forced to order and pay full price up front - they did it voluntarily, without duress and should have had their eyes wide open. Every person who is holding the bag now voluntarily decided to take the risk and buy a product with the price being paid in full knowing that it was going to be an EXTENDED time before they got delivery.

Im sorry things did not work out for them. I'm sad that Ted had these problems. But, that doesnt change the FACT that nobody would be left holding the bag today if they had not ordered under those KNOWN UP FRONT conditions.

Now you are starting to make sense.

True...but that's because of their good reviews and products.
I'm not saying or accusing EA of a ponzi scheme but that's why they're so successful: the ones "up the pyramid" rave about "Acme Investments" (for example), saying they invested $××× and made 20% interest in a year. That entices the pyramid base to buy in.
Pictured is a Google search I did just now, it says opens 8am CONFIRMED by business 2 weeks ago.
All these lawsuits posted...my question is this: is EA open for business or not!?!?!

For the heck of it, go to their website. Pretty good reviews, right? Now click on newest reviews!
Are they in business or not?

A lot of the statements that you have made have absolutely NOTHING to do with anything yet you make them, and while NOBODY was forced to order and pay in full up front, most thought they were dealing with a reputable company and not one being cannabalized from the inside. To your last point, I'm sad for a lot of folks involved but the owner ain't one of em.

I think I understand what you're trying to get across. Your statement about most can't handle money has a condition that determines if they can handle money. Folks who earned the money through their hard work and ingenuity know nearly always know how to "handle" manage their gain!

Those who didn't earn it are clueless about using it as a resource and tend to "pee it in the wind".

Your comment about million and billionaires having to liquidate and discover they have little doesn't make sense. The only criteria to being one of those people is the tally of their net worth. So if their net worth is not in the range you mention they're not million or billionaires.

It appears the bank filed against Ted in October. Notice of service was dated October 25th. Ted's reaction when he knew his business was circling the drain, offer a 10% discount to entice even more buyers to order attachments they were never going to receive.
Is there a proper word to describe that action?

EA was not a fly-by-night company, they were reputable and evidently made a good product. Regardless, everyone who bought from them took a known risk paying up front with an extended shipping date.

In a lot of ways this is sort of like when someone buys a house that is subject to an HOA and then comes to regret it later. Yes, there was notice to the buyer of the HOA and there were some people who were happy and some not. The area was well established and nice and the house was "perfect". So after a year or two they get fed up with the HOA and wish they had never heard of the place. Well, I don't want to see or hear their crying because they should have never bought in an HOA to start with. If they did, suck it up and deal with it. Sell out and move or sue the HOA or whatever it takes to make them happy. But being a whinning crybaby on an internet forum is a waste of time and tears.

You seem to spend an awful lot of time whining about people whining. LOL

I dealt with EA about 8 years ago and did not like the service/value. I posted my opinion at the time and received a lot of push back, so I declined to comment much since. Fast forward to today.... no surprise here.

/ Status of Everything Attachments #1,018
All the whinning on here is contagious. I'm sick of it.
Then just go away. Who is twisting your arm to comment in this thread to belittle people who have been burned by this situation?

I think a missing point of the matter is that SOME people figured that with a company such as EA, with such good reviews and a long history of making quality products, it was no stretch of the imagination to think that the REASON for the long delay between paying for the merchandise and received same was because their products were in such high demand that the list was exceptionally long of customers who placed orders before yours. You were simply waiting at the end of a long line for all of those previous orders to be filled in turn before yours could be shipped. By all appearances and reasonable evidence, EA products were THAT MUCH in demand that waiting in line was not in the least unexpected nor seemingly unusual. In my opinion, there was no evidence nor reason to expect anything different than what I have expressed. There really was not even a hint of any reasonable risk being involved concerning not getting what I paid for and losing my money paid.

I'm done debating this topic. For better or worse, EA operated like every other ecommerce store ever run. 100% payment at the time of order. End of story.
For most e-commerce, you can only pay for an item that is in stock and ready to ship.

A few websites will allow you to "backorder" something if they have expected deliveries coming. They are clear to tell me if I am doing a backorder on something popular. It's 50/50 if they take my money on a backorder.

/ Status of Everything Attachments #1,020
not even remotely a true statement, I ordered from 3 different sites this year that said in stock, then took 3 months to ship. you think because there is a in stock flag on the site that means anything more then a check mark in a software program?
Good e-commerce platforms tell you if an item is going on a backorder! Ordering with no notice of stock status is not something I tolerate for normal website purchases of ordinary goods.

A few times I ordered something "in stock" but, got caught with other people "in queue" to get theirs shipped when they ran short. I was notified and was given a choice to wait or, a full refund, my choice.
