I'm sure I'll get flamed for this.

All those that need the proper information should have it by now. If they haven't pursued the proper avenue to recoup any monies, it's on them. EA will wisely not come on this or any other site and tell y'all what occurred if their legal advisor is worth their salt. I haven't dealt with them, nor am I affiliated with them in any way. I do hope they rebound from whatever has happened.
Gosh Tom, you're a spoil sport. You want us to stop talking about this train wreck? It's why the Don Henley song Dirty Laundry was so popular.

In light of the information shared in this thread (and on the Google Business listing) as well as not receiving a reply from EA regarding their status since contacting them 48 hours ago, we are going to temporarily censor all outbound links to EA. There are many links all over our forums that could lead our visitors to place orders with an unknown processing status.

Example you will see in place of url:

(Temporarily blocked due to reports of company closure)
Good for you!

Lol. I prefer to think that the majority on here have and apply more common sense than the talking heads that were depicted in the song. Call me an optimist.

I don't see EA recovering from this as too many customers will not want to risk money billed immediately to wait months for a delivery. That ship has sailed.

Yep, because it would have been expected for the contractor to demand payment in full up front. Based on some of what I've read on this thread.

Strange things have happened... a local VW specialist with all the work he could want disappeared... gates locked, Voice Mail Full, no sign of activity and customers cars in the shop...

Speculation ran wild for a couple of weeks... turns out the owner had a heart attack while out hiking...

Might take detective work to track down Ted or interview associates, family members, chamber of commerce, etc.

For all the ills of Credit Cards they sure come with some great benefits...

That works to a point.
But how about the people who don't know about the train wreck, and order stuff today or tomorrow?
How about people expecting someone to answer the phone to address issues, parts, and orders?
I guess the only "proper avenue to recoup any monies" leaves a bad taste in my mouth too... it wasn't the credit card companies who stole from EA customers. But now they have to pay millions in charge backs?

Unlike you, I DON'T hope they rebound back into the same rut.

I DO hope the employees who worked hard, and deserve to provide for their families have quick employment and better conditions soon.
