I have seen this play out with custom knifemakers many times over the years. They are popular and their prices go up and up. Eventually their "fan boys" find a new shiny knife that catches their attention and the first knifemaker now can't sell anything due to his high prices which he can't lower without burning everyone that bought a knife previously!

The really great ones don't let their ego's get in the way and improve their craft along with their prices and still have a multi-year backlog with a knife that is the worth the price and has the craftsmanship to be worth what is paid.

To the Lynn Griffith's of the world, you are not forgotten and neither is your questionable work.

I like the looks of that grapple. What brand, and where did you get it? I'd be concerned about the way the cylinders and held on with those pins with brush snagging them possibly? Maybe safety wire them so they can't get pulled out accidently.

Or replace them with a bolt and nut.

Just curious, how many of you have pending, paid for orders with EA that have not been delivered, refunded, or successfully disputed with your credit card? Assuming @Rich_Z is one. Anybody else?

I am in that lot. CC company said it could be 60 days to determine if I get a refund. Of course nothing from EA since they said my land plane was shipping the next day.

Your two examples aren't ecommerce companies. Rut manufacturing doesn't have a website and Kaufman trailers doesn't take online orders. I know because I have one of their trailers and paid when I went in picked it up in person.

If you can cite an ANY company that sells anything that takes orders on a WEBSITE that SHIPS and says "We only require an x% deposit." then I will eat my words. Until then, you're just whistlin dixie.

If the bank gets the inventory it will probably go to auction before too long. Banks can't hold hard assets like that for too long.

This is really the difficult part, every new customer has different expectations. I had to hire a “go between”, took stress levels way down.

I think the website is an orphan. No credit card company will service them now. PayPal and Venmo all bounce back to the site. I won't enter a credit card number to test that though.
It's been paid for through mid-September, so it will likely remain until it's time runs out.

I got a google notice showing a news cast that Everything Attachments has a restraining order granted by the their Bank.

Must be a very powerful bank. Around here only courts issue restraining orders.

Keep in mind that can be everything from raw materials to finished product. At best they had standard designs with multiple options though...
