I am surprised you did not have to pull the limiter caps. Any time there is a change in air or fuel, you typically need to make some adjustments.... The Echos run very lean already and then opening up the air flow is gonna make them even worse....

Mine was so lean it was crazy even with stock muffler.

Once muffler mod she needed re-tuned big time. Much better.

No cost muffler mod. Takes about 30mins.

Can cut that inner deflector out to use for like a gasket or toss it. Cut out to use it to keep screen in if wanted.

A person should never pick one of those CS-2511 Top Handle's up. I just bought an Echo CS-25llTN. It comes with the Oregon 80TL Nano Chain, designed specifically for small saws. It cuts like crazy, and doesn't have the chatter of the stock chain. I want to get 3 or 4 tanks of gas through it, and then add the Eagan Header Pipe.
This thing is crazy light and I can't wait to break it in and add a performance pipe.
You're gonna love this saw!! And you will really love it once you get that Egan exhaust on it. I have been considering converting to the nano chain as well, just can't make up my mind.

I did the same initially but couldn't resist buying the Egan muff. And yeah, I have never purchased any Echo that wasn't running on the lean side straight outta the box....

You guys know you can convert those 2511 to 1/4" set ups right.

I'll go get the info I have saved from years back with part numbers.

For me, it was an easy choice to pay only $10 more for the Nano chain option.

I find the opposite to be true in my case at least. So long as they 4 stroke at WOT not in a cut, I'm good with that.
