Morning all,
Sitting here drinking my first cup of coffee and contemplating about when to get off my butt and go check out the driveway. Had a severe thunder storm roll through last evening. Just a bit north of us they had some really high winds (approaching 80 mph). We just got strong winds and a bunch of rain. Had two inches of rain in my rain gauge in less then 45 minutes. Had just dressed it out last week and actually dug out a couple large rocks that had been creating good sized bumps this year.

not bad, just a little bump

well maybe not so small

good sized I guess

Drew’s tomatoes were excellent we had grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches for dinner last night.
On good bread with tasty garden tomatoes I could eat my own weight and that's saying something.
Salt pepper, thin sliced green onion and a light sprinkle of fresh green dill...🐷(y):ROFLMAO:

Very cloudy this morning hope we get some rain. Grass was mowed two weeks ago not growing at all.

Hope you had great Birthday dinner mostly

Prayers for all our Country

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 5:15AM. Areas of fog early, becoming sunny this afternoon. High 72F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

I push my weather station data to Weather Underground, and have had issues with the reliability of their infrastructure and their mapping. Just looking for an alternative weather site for my weather data.

I feel your password pain, Paul. The past few weeks I've been trying to update the address for my vehicles and driver's license, and the DMV website has been anything but helpful. Finally got a call back from a real person yesterday, who couldn't find anything wrong and told me to wait another couple weeks to see if it fixes itself. And if it doesn't, I'm to photograph the error message on the screen, print it out, and take it with me to a DMV office. Then and only then will I be admitted to their hallowed halls. Yes, they're forcing us to do all our registration and driver's license stuff online. And the idiots minding the store can't even fix a simple password problem.
LS, you must not buy tires at Costco if your biggest ticket is $500+. I've been very happy with their tire service, prices, and warranty fidelity...free regular rotations and balancing.
The previous tires on the Ford came from Costco, and after five years they refused to rebalance or even rotate the tires, claiming they should be replaced. BS, they had tons of tread left and showed no cracks, splits, cuts or other defects. Even when they did rotate them, it took them well over an hour, even though I had an appointment. I won't be back to Costco for tires again.

Wasted even more time yesterday morning after reading an email from the lender that financed the solar power system that came with this house. It contained a link to a DocuSign that turned out to be another loan agreement. At 4.5% interest, up from 1.5% on the existing loan. Took a half hour to satisfy myself I hadn't missed any payments, and another frustrating half hour on the phone trying to get someone at the lender to explain the email. To me it looks like an obvious attempt to jack up the interest rate, in spite of previous assurances it would remain unchanged for the life of the loan. I got no explanation, only an assurance that the existing loan is in good standing. If interest rates hadn't skyrocketed over the past year, I'd be refinancing with another lender. Might just pay it off to stop the irritation; it's not the first screw up from this company. I did file a complaint with the BBB, though. For all the good that will do.

Progress wise, I did get both the motorcycle and generator unloaded from the trailer yesterday. Had to make a pair of crude ramps from 2x4 lumber to get the generator winched up into the van, but got 'er done. Now have a half dozen cardboard boxes to unpack and put away. And go down the punch list to make sure I'm taking the parts and tools I'll need up north for the next round of repairs.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

Good morning, 76 going to 95 and cloudy.
Big storms last night, some rain < .5" it looks like though.
Had to work till almost 11pm last night, been a while since worked so late so no complaints.

Happy birthday Mostly !

Sons friends came over to use the pool, and the storm started right then. so instead of pool, they played pool on table downstairs.

Aunt has cancer again, but it looks like it was caught in time.
Father still not improving.
Another Aunt is wheelchair bound now, but with her health issues being alive at this point is fine.

Not feeling well,

Good Morning,
Ct, 70 to start going to 90 or so ! Was sunny when Kathleen and I went in our morning walk but by the time we returned it is totally cloudy ! Agree with Paul, the humidity is really thick today ! 😒

Had fun swimming with the kids yesterday! Pool looks great , especially after I clean up all the toys scattered around the perimeter and in the water ! 😉😂

Did some weed trimming with my new Echo ! Really need to pump the primer bulb to get the new one started! I also switched to True Fuel, I just can’t deal with bad gas !

Well the urologist appointment was yesterday morning, and unfortunately I am not emptying my bladder, after my pee rest they said I still had 100ml of urine in my bladder ! I just have a feeling this is not going to end well for me ! The idea of self catheter each time I need to pee is not too appealing!

This technology stuff is too much work.
PJ, couldn’t agree more ! Thank God my sons are pretty tech savvy!

Kathleen has me putting a bunk bed together, talk about a million parts ! It has an attached slide, along with storage compartments at the far end also ! I told her I love to do wood working, but assembling this stuff doesn’t come under this category! 😂 Anyways I am plowing along at it, should be done in a couple of days even at my slow pace ! 😉

Don, your garage looks to clean ! Mine doesn’t look anything like that ! 😀The golden arch over the Farmall is actually a kid soccer net ! 😂

Hope all have a good Wednesday! 🙏

I guess their lawyers told them to put that in their warranty...it is in it, even though lots of folks go more than 5 years before replacing their tires and don't read the warranty. Good that you got over 5 years of service from them. Now that I'm retired, I'll likely always get 5+ years at my current pace of driving.

you made me look, my largest costco was $1800 for hearing aids for my son. After that around $1200 for a computer.

Don
I found that researching wasn’t as straight forward as I would have liked. Good info on the Amazon site, even more on Eufy.com, but to me not well organized. HomeBase 3 S380 is the newer base, but you need to look at the compatibility chart. I started with HomeBase 2 (was on sale) but have decided to upgrade and the newer items need HB3. Fortunately when I bought I took advantage of an upgrade offer to HB3. There are some price reductions that will be available in a couple days via Prime Days.

I also noted the bundles are not always cheaper than bundling your own.

I liked what I read and saw on this security system. I'm ordering a solar S340 and an indoor S350 to get started and see how it goes. Doesn't look like I need a base station. Good discount today. Thanks.

Good morning! Low of 61°, heading up to around 86°. 60-70% chances of a shower. Partly cloudy now. The guessers are predicting storms every day for the next week.

Wng, Wow! Della got big! Great pics!
No, don't get tires at Costco. Never heard anything good about the service at the couple of them out here. I've stuck with Discount Tire for around 30 years.

Drew, not sure if congrats are in order..... don't you have any buyers remorse now....
But, congrats! Tahoes are nice vehicles.
I have alway liked Suburbans, had 2 of 'em myself. ---- but the older '90 and earlier.

Plowhog, good to hear Rigby is also getting bigger. We need puppy pics!
Didn't know they made conversion kits for the RV fridges. Good that it got so cold!

RNG, sorry to read about the lender and MVD woes. What happens if you pay off the loan? Is the equipment leased? Are you free to use anyone to service it? ---- just looking to broaden my scope of knowledge---- way too many programs out there. Some that don't make sense to me....

Ken, sorry to read about your aunts cancer coming back. Hope you can help your dad too.

Don, cabinets look great! Definitely a lot of nice storage.

Scott, have fun with the bunk beds.... part A to part C, but part B has to be upside down and backwards..... hopefully the translation isn't too bad....

Today's agenda is to try and assess the garden tractor problem. Hopefully a simple fix. I asked the neighbor if she wanted to sell her garden tractor.... she bought it 5 years ago, it has 1.8 hours on it. She hasn't used it since the very first time. She said "I'll think about it".

Maybe next year or so I can just find / get a used SCUT to replace it. I bought the Craftsman in 1996. Been using and abusing it for 18 years...

Not sure if anything else will pop up on the list.
Everyone have a great day!

After my last costco tire fiasco, I'm not sure i'll be back. Yes, they do take their good ole time. They take tires off, then go to next car take tire off, then might take a break, then someone else will put on tire machine, slowly, then they might take a break, and so on. they work slow. but my fiasco, is they wouldn't honor the tire warrantee.
I'll be using a local tire shop instead. I bought my new camper tires from tire shop last year, they were great, and fast.

85deg

we got .1" rain last evening, enough that i decided not to water garden, but wife still watered flowers.

I went out to our 30 acre hunting spot yesterday to check on things. OMG the skeeters are BAD!!!! Chased me out! The last two years here were dry, and we hardly had any. This year, we're flooding, and they're swarming...

Just for fun and to keep my Excel skills active, I've been graphing Della's weight weekly since we brought her home 2+ months ago...still a straight line up...no slowing down or plateau...34.4 pounds now. Getting harder to pick her up.

I ordered an S340 to use at the farm. what's the purpose of the base station? I didn't look into it. will need to figure out how to view. Wish it had SD slot.

You must have gotten lots more rain than here..our skeeters are shriveled up...but the ticks are bad this year. Have you ever tried the lemon eucalyptus oil mosquito and tick repellent? No DEET, etc. My wife bought some. I don't often use repellent, but I've tried it a couple of times and seems to work...but haven't tried it out in as tough as conditions as I'd like before I give up the DEET.

The fields have been partially flooded for the last few months, so breeding was good. Low lying areas are just now drying up, and have that "stink". May give that a try. The high DEET stuff I use was not useful yesterday... I always wash off the DEET afterwards.

Does anyone have experience with "Thermo Cell" or similar pest-a-way products? We hunt, and can't use DEET sprays or other products that smell.
